He does not have the gas to play against a midfield with crazy strong runners like Villa.

He probably even needs a rest. Under-18 don't play so many games and they rotate and rest players like crazy.

It was a precaution. Shaw had some complaints at half time and ETH didn't want to risk him picking up an injury.
