Just how was Welbeck yabbed my Arsenal fans? The most I can recall saying was he needs to come into the 21st century and abandon that 'pali sugar' haircut of his.

Welbeck was the best in EPL last season in terms of converting clear cut chances, far better than Suarez in that regard. Last season in the EPL, he took about 90% of his one vs one with the goalkeeper, with moves either set up or assisted by Rooney.

However, Rooney was our best centre forward last season. His goals return from the CF was highly impressive. Rooney was almost guarantee to score from the number last season few times he played there. Sometimes Rooney got us two goals from the number 9 position before Moyes will have to substitute him midway into second half. From the number 10, where he gave all his assist, he added a few goals too.

I wished Welbeck all the best because I like him. He had an option of going on temporal loan, he refused. So, Gaal's hands were tied. The bad thing is that he went to a direct rival club. If he can be a good poacher as he did yesterday, he will score load of goals from plenty chances created by Arsenal.
