The Kano State government has distributed 40 Toyota double-cabin pick up vans to education inspectors in the state for inspection purposes.

Similarly, five BMW power bikes have been donated to the state’s police command by the government to enhance security in the state.

Distributing the vehicles, Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso said they are meant to reactivate the inspectorate divisions.

“The procurement of vehicles, plants and equipment are necessary for operational convenience”, he said.

He said since he assumed office, his administration has invested billions of naira in procuring schools facilities, constructing model classrooms as well as renovating infrastructure among others.

He added that the motorbikes would reinforce surveillance and enhance police patrol. Governor Kwankwaso recalled that the state government recently donated security gadgets and vehicles to the police and other security agencies in the state as part of efforts to sustain peace as well as protect lives and property.

Earlier in his address, Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Rabi’u Sulaiman Bichi said the state government is adopting a multi-sectoral approach to governance, hence the investment in education and other sectors.
