My external hard disk stopped working after two weeks of purchase. I bought it brand new, though the indicator shows when i connect it to my pc, my pc does not see or recognise it. Pls how can i rectify it as i have vital data in it. |

What operating system runs on the computer its connected to? I've got a hunch its simple not "auto mounted". Windows server OSes and *nix machines normally don't mount automatically. Lets know what OS version you running. . .and then we can continue. |

I use windows 7 ultimate on my desktop and windows xp service park 2 on my laptop, but non can recognize the hard disk. |
