story-tree.appspot.com . Tell me what you think. If you think it can be done better let's figure out how.

For starters, I noticed it's a java applet -- that's not very functional in these day and age. I couldn't even get it to run.

Sorry, men. I didn't know any other way to implement the idea. I should have specified that Java applets are involved earlier. If you use a modern browser like Google Chrome on a computer I'm sure the applet should load. Cheers.

Try to also adjust your title to reflect exactly what it is you hacked up (the title doesn't say much until one clicks it). It does seem like some nice, another "way" to implement that might be friendlier to all browser is using javascript.

see attached (what I see)

@zeta if you are hosting at appspot, why not just use GWT ? Its more flexible and not as F$%ked up as Applets. Ther is also Javascript you know wink

I used applets cos that was the tech I knew. Maybe I'll give GWT a try but right now I don't have the time. My Javascript knowledge isn't spectacular, jQuery knowledge just there.

I guess applets are a dead technology. It's too bad that I don't know enough stuff to replace what I can do with applets.

Question: Is any way to convert a java applet code to java script?

Answer: Yes - it is a technique known as "employing a programmer". :-)
