Many parents feel they lack the necessary skills to bring up children and want the government to provide childcare lessons.

Young mums and dads don't feel they have the skills to bring up a kid
Three out of four mothers and fathers under the age of 35 want to see basic parenting classes introduced, according to a Metro Harris poll.
More than a third of the population also said they didn’t know how to be a good parent, with that figure rising to 46 per cent for 16 to 24-year-olds.
The survey, carried out in association with Jubilee Parenting, found the issue parents most wanted help with was handling anger.
A huge 77 per cent of parents said they struggled to control their children’s rage, while 74 per cent would welcome help with handling peer pressure in the playground.
Many also found it difficult to talk to their children about touchy subjects, such as sex, drugs and alcohol, with 36 per cent of the 1,350 questioned saying parenting classes ‘would really help’.
Netmums founder Siobhan Freegard said the findings echoed many of her website’s users who don’t just need help with breastfeeding, but the ‘soft skills’ needed to create a happy household.
‘People are really crying out for some support,’ she said.
‘Parenting is the hardest job in the world yet nobody gives us any indication of how to do it.’
Ms Freegard hailed the ‘positive parenting’ classes that already run across the country but said families ‘would welcome’ any kind of other support from the government.

I know there's no clear cut way on raising children but this isn't a bad idea. Especially for young couples. They ca even provide tips on effective discipline without having to physically abuse the kids. I like it
