Any one hear remembers Bathelomew Ogbeche who The then Nigeria Coach Onighinde called up to join the world cup team of the super eagles in Korea Japan 2002.. The guy only got into the team by doing an acrobatic kick against Ireland in a friendly some months b4 d world cup proper... Even his attempt struck d bar... So i guess d coach thought d guy had potential and called him up.... On to flop in the world up proper... I love football alot but hardly play... In my secondary sch days (2002).. We were suppose to play in the governors cup, I can't even remember why I made d team to play a friendly b4 d tournament started.. I scored a bicycle kick during d friendly & scored d winning goal... Na so I enta team... Omo when governors cup start I just dey run like headless chicken 4 field.... So I was named after Ogbeche... Dats how dat name struck 2 Likes |

Well, since a lot of people have been asking... A friend wanted to start a radio rock music countdown show in Nigeria and wanted a name for it. As his smart-arse friend lol, plus a big time rock buff, I was asked for suggestions. I offered a whole lottt of them which included Rockdom, Rocking Da Clock, Rote Rocking, Rockstream, Rocktation, Rockafellas, Rocking Mill, Rock World...He really liked Rocktation (as I did) because it was borne from the word rotation and it kind of links with the rotatory format by which rock hits would be making the countdown. Sadly though, he went and discussed all the options with his other crew members and for some reason, they settled for Rockstream. So there, you also now know how that Rockstream show on Unilag fm in Lagos got its name. But then again, I didn't really give much thought to my username before I signed up on here. I was just too much in a hurry to give my opinion on a thread I came across for lovers of rock music. 3 Likes |
