Revolution In Nigeria "Only A Matter Of Time" Buhari Warns by Nobody: 6:01pm On Apr 21, 2012 |
Former Head of State and Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, this afternoon in Kaduna State said if ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) continues with its corruption and short-changing of Nigerians, revolution will certainly occur in Nigeria. It is only a matter of time, he warned. The former presidential candidate, who recently had surgery in the United Kingdom, said, “The question of the PDP and their leadership is just decaying. PDP and their leadership don’t accept social justice. If there is no social justice, in a question of time there will be revolution in one form or the other. After the last general election, we went as far as to the Supreme Court, but after that, what happened in Kogi state, Adamawa and Sokoto states and the bye-elections? We believed that PDP is not prepared for real democracy and social justice. And I hope they will be strong enough to go through the consequences of their injustice.” He charged upon Northerners to replicate what other parts of Nigeria did in protecting their votes and refuse being turn into slaves in their own country. He said, “If we don’t struggle and make sacrifice, things will not change, if you don’t win or you want to remain as slaves in your own country, then you can go home and sleep, otherwise if you must fight for your rights, you must wake up and ensure that justice is done. You must make sure that your votes count. To prove to you that there is not going to be justice under PDP and its leaders, look at what happened in the hearing on petroleum resources in the National Assembly, pension fund, people were dying in twos while others are syndicates of thieves, with people stealing and keeping money in their houses up to the tune of two billion naira, by 2015 whoever stole public funds has automatically sentence himself to death.’’ |

if libyans could wait for 42yrs under one animal(gadaffi), if the egyptians could wait for 32 yrs under the other idiots, look at tunisia, algeria atc. nigeria and nigerians will wake up one day and say enough is enough. whether we like it or not, the greater the temptations, the greater the testimonies. let us not forget that we now know who our enemies are. on the day of judgement, it won't be a big deal for us to pick and kill these bastards without wasting time. |

It would be great if it happens but I dont see it happening. It would be easier for Nigeria to break than to have a revolution. |

The thing about a revolution is, it merely causes violent change, but more often than not doesn't go to the root of the problem. There is a reason why our leaders are corrupt, and its because we have promoted a value system that encourages materialism above anything else. Go to our churches and hear our "men of God" talking about prosperity as if its the only thing to aspire to. Some musician makes a hit, becomes a sudden celebrity and all the ladies swoon round him. A yahoo-yahoo boy "hammers" and nobody asks him where he got his money from. A person becomes a political appointee and suddenly buys a Hummer and builds a mansion, and we keep our mouths shut. An illiterate LG councillor makes, in a month, ten times the annual salary of a university professor. Tell me why such a society won't produce corrupt leaders. We need an evolution, not a revolution. Let's change the way we think. Let's start from the basics: Don't litter the streets. Stay on the queue. If ur given a job to do, do it well and don't look for shortcuts. If our society can evolve out of our primordial, depraved way of thinking, and begin to value excellence over mediocrity and values over materialism. Our mindsets must change. That's the real problem. 1 Like |

We cannot continue like this, sooner or later something have to change. We are due for a revolution under whatever guise it may be. The aftermath is what scares me, just look at the Egyptians!!! |

a reviolution is definitely around the corner whether we are ready 4 it or not. however, the revolution that buhari insites may affect him negatively as he was part of the nigerian problem indirectly. be careful of the stone on another person, for that same stone may be used on you |
