Good day All,
Please i need help,i've been experiencing some kind of oppression while as sleep,I get so pressed that i can't move or even talk.
I've prayed about it and read my psalms everytime before going to bed.But these evil spirit still oppresses me.
Please can anyone tell me what to do??

Er . . . I do not want to sound offensive or derogatory but you need to step up on your spiritual life - prayer, worship, bible study, lifestyle et al.

It gives you the needed weapons needed in these spiritual battles.

Another thing you may have is fear . . . the greater one is in you already so you have nothing to fear.

It's advisable to share it in your Cell meeting or your group meeting so others can pray with you as well.

My brother the bible made it clear to us that we are not fighting against flesh and blood but against principalities and power.

We are also made to understand that the name of the Lord is a strong tower and the righteous run into it and they are safe.

It is also written that wherefore God has highly exalted Jesus Christ and given him a name that above everyother name that at the name of Jesus every knell should bow and every tongue should confess that Jesus is the Lord.

Therefore always harm yourself with the word of God and the name of Jesus Christ everytime which is far above any demon or evil spirit and lets see the devil that will be devil enough with effrontery to harass you while you sleep. Shalom!

Ummmm, my brother i feel you cos i have been there,(used to have these kind off attacks for a long time until about a year 2 years ago) u need to step up urr spiritual life, praying and fasting and whenever this happens even though u may not be able to shout it out just keep on shouting blood of jesus, over and over again untill u feel loosened, and even though this next one is not biblical, i noticed that when i used to have this attacks i never ever have any whenever mosquito coils is burning anywhere near my room, but like i siad the most important thing is to step up your prayer/christain life, try also and seek advice from a man of God

First and foremost, you've got to be saved- you've got to receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, because, deliverance is the Children's bread and once you are truly saved from sin; Getting this blessing from God won't be difficult, It becomes your Right . I'd encourage you confess every known sins to God and even the ones you're unconscious of, ask for His divine forgiveness and grace to sin no more.

@Poster, If you are saved, sometimes the problem is that we have issues that we need to deal with that we have so far not actually tried to do much about. If there is an area in your life that you are holding back in, be it some sin that you do not want to acknowlegde or some hurt that you have not really dealt with, or you are anxious, look into your life and ask God to reveal it to you so you can deal with it. I have had similar experiences myself and I have learnt that it is usually gone when I deal with whatever it is that is robbing me of my peace.

Fast and pray to God with a humble heart to defeat this problem for you. Remember, the battle is not yours, but the Lords!

My brother are you sure that what you are experiencing is a spiritual problem.
Here is my experience:
My father suffered from those alleged spiritual attacks in his sleep, it was so sever. he sought all kinds of spiritual help to no avail. He preyed, he fasted, He even hard priests watching over him as he slept, all to no avail.
The first time I experienced the problem, I was 12 years old. My was so severe that when the thing came over me, I couldn't move, I couldn't breath, I couldn't even think of any thing. I will be suffocating till almost to point of death, then my mouth will be released and I will shout JESUS!! Once I shout this name my whole body will be released then I can breath again.
My family did all that they could to help me but it contined. Sometimes I even saw ugly faces as the thing happened to me. In the church they told me it was the devil. I did all I could, went from church to churches, they kept telling me the same story. I even tried the meditation, chanting and some other stuff all to no avail. To make a long story short, the thing continued till I came to America.
I told an American friend of mine about my problem, he laughed at me and told me that I probably had sleep apnea. A medical condition that sometimes runs in the family. I took his advice and went to a specialist who diagnosed me and started treating me. For many nights they had all sorts of things hooked to me and monitoring me while I slept. Finally the doctor put me on medication and gave me some simple instruction to live by, IE exercises, lose weight and don't eat after 6:00pm, drink lots of water. Till then I hardly have the attacks anymore. Only when I'm stressed or eat very late do I have it once in awhile. I say that for many years now I have not had it at all.
I not saying that yours is sleep apnea, I m not a doctor but consider seeking medical help. And read up Sleep apnea at

I agree . Sleep Apnea is completely different. I used to have this type he speaks of but never needed any medication to get rid of it and my case, happens every now and then, not continously.

The problem might be from within or without. There is a ladder that permits as a dorway. Seek God's face and use the appropriate scriptures to fight it. What you are going through is oppression. Till that oppression is dealt with, you cannot advance in life. You'll be making motions in life but no progress. I use to experience this in the past and through prayer and fasting, coupled with vigil and a daily prayer life, I overcame it. The origin and problem differ from individual to individuals. But the manifestion is the same. Whenever you experience such attacks the next time, anoint your crown and your sole and pray to cancel the effect of the suppression.

@dafidixone: Over 50 years, I have been Muslim! My older sister is been Muslim for almost 60 years. My father, (as) spent all his life as a Muslim. Most of my family, from my father side are Muslims, dead or alive!

Want more, my bride converted to Islam after, her first husband, a very powerful Muslim, was not capable of talking to her, about Islam, while he was alive, (ra).
