please i have been trying to add image with the SRC tag in html test page but it is not working ?
the image is asved in my pictures folder in my computer please how do i add the image

create a folder "images" , in your Documents folder and put the image you want to link there and link it with the src tag. Its easier for you to trace from there as the web browser will keep going to check the documents folder first.

Let me add more to what Suya Masta said you should create a folder name Images save the image there type in this <img src="images/ologo.jpg" width="263" height="230" /> what you need do here is to change the size of the image and extension either .jpeg or .gif or .png.
I hope this solve your problem

Step1: determine your image-> i.e if it is jpg, png or bmp...

Step2: Create a project folder(a new folder) and move both html and image into it.

step3; use img tag like this to link to image <img src='nameofimage.imgtype' > e.g <img src='logo.jpg' >

thanks yuall 4 d info! But the problem is dat it keep showing as a broken file i tink d problem is dat i am not properly identifying the image pls how do i properly locate it? I saved the picture in the my picture folder of my computer?

you should take the picture from the picture folder of your computer and keep it in the images folder you have created on your website folder that is when the problem will be solved.it is possible that you directly click on the picture from your desktop folder to the website where the directory of the picture will be <img src="xxxxxxxxxxxxdesktop/ologo.jpg" width="263" height="230" /> check the picture directory when it shows that way change the desktop to images if you have created a folder for images on your website folder

@chuepkon create a folder, then move the picture inside the folder u created! Then in your .html file just use <img src="picturename.jpg"> then save the html file in the folder u created earlier! Then open with your browser!
