Hi Nairalanders, It's quite frustrating when I connect my modem to the internet and observe as much as a whopping 20MB get used up in less that 2 minutes! I have disabled windows updates, and I have blocked all programs which I believe might be "drinking" my data. However, the problem still persists at times, especially when the connection is very fast. I use etisalat easy blaze (which is very fast). Later, I tried MTN because I thought it was network related, but that was even worse. Please help me out. What can I do. Or could my browser (Mozilla) be the cause? |

The best way to reduce your bandwidth is to disable window update, antivirus upload, also always check your background application to see the one that connects to the internet for updates. Not only window updates, so many programs do update once in a week so watch out. Again, avoid browsing large site. 1 Like |

Men! I am facing the same challeng o! I use Airtel and use my phone as a hotspot to browse on my laptop. Even on days I try to be conservative and not visit most of the hip hop sites I normally go to, I still use up about 300mb. It is quite frustrating. 2gig only last me like 5 days. |

install window 7 and enjoy. Opera is more economical |
