JTF Arrest Suspected Militant Commander In Kano By AbdulSalam Muhammad, Kano KANO-The Joint Military Task Force, JTF, Tuesday morning, arrested a man suspected to be a top militant commander during an early morning raid at Karkasara quarters by Malam Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Kano Municipality. JTF sources told Vanguard that the arrest was a product of “intelligence gathering and painstaking effort” by the security operatives, stressing that “there was no casualty during the operation that lasted for about an hour. Vanguard learnt that Karkasara and other adjourning quarters had long been identified as dark spots by security agents in the state. The security source however, refused disclosed the identity of the suspect. According to the source, “what I can only tell you is that the guy we pick up this morning is a top commander that has been on our wanted list.” Confirming the arrest in a telephone chat with Vanguard, the JTF spokesman in Kano, Lt Ikediche Iweha stated that; “I can confirm to you that we carried out a very successful operation today and the suspect we are looking for was apprehended without resistance. “But I can not divulge other details about the suspect at this point because we have commenced robust investigation to establish what we think we have at hand”, Iweha stated. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/05/jtf-arrest-suspected-militant-commander-in-kano/ 1 Like |

pls this same vanguard shld be ready to tell nigerians that the suspected boko haram leader/commander disappeared tomorrow after questioning. what i keep asking myself is, why catching ppl when u know that they will end up disappearing? it is only a fool that does the same thing always and expect a different result. if the pdp chairman can tell nigerians that boko haram are fighting a injustice, what is the need them. nigerians must know that pdp is not fighting justice rather they are fighting injustice alongside boko haram so the two are the same that is why we will continue arresting these guys and they will continue disappearing. who can point to one pdp top member or his/her family member that has been killed by this boko haram. nigerians must know who their enemy(pdp) is. |

Can't seem to understand just how warped some folks' minds are judging by some of the posts on here. So Zap.i.n' what if the suspect is gonna be released the second he was caught(which is unlikely anyways judging by history bar one or two occasions),seems some twats on here would rather resign their fate to getting bombed to their smoky graves rather than believe that there are some people who are at the very least putting their lives on the line to prevent the Boko Haram deathtoll from increasing and that these people are still working even when these bombings seem to have sufficed a bit. With this kind of attitude,its easy to see why some people think Nigerians deserve the kind of leaders they are getting. Moreover,the followers are often a reflection of their leaders. That said,i hope these arrests keep increasing. Its obvious the arrests are working judging by the frequent requests or 'pleas' the sect have made for the 'release of their members' or brothers as the cowards tend to call themselves. If this keeps up,the signs point to bringing the sect down to its knees,thus limiting its coverage of influence and attacks. Whatever has a beginning surely has an end.
