First of all the apostles were called christians in antioch because their behaviors were christ_like, they acted and lived like Jesus.
A christian is someone who follows the teaching and commandments of Jesus and not one who just goes to church without having a personal fellowship with God in his daily life. There is difference between a church goer and a christian. A christian is holy even as christ is holy. "Not everyone that says lord lord will enter into heaven but he that does the will of my father which is in heaven.

Being born into a devout Christian family doesn't make you a Christian.

Being baptised, confirmed or a member of the best Church doesn't make you a Christian.

Being prayerful doesn't make you a Christian.

Having knowledge of the Bible or even a doctorate degree doesn't make you a Christian.

Doing good works doesn't make you a Christian.

Preaching the gospel truth doesn't make you a Christian.

Having a Christian name doesn't make you a Christian.
