Looks like dame Patience Jonathan's penchance for partying all over the place whilst enjoying the cruise and comfort of a Presdential Jet could cost her husband his job. If it were true that the Airport was close up to 2 hours, whilst an in-coming distress flight was allowed to stay in the air for 2 hours, then it suffices it to say, madame first lady could be held culpable for all those deaths.

Could Jonthan being a Gentleman that he is, bite the bullet and resign honourably knowning fully well by allowing his gallivanting wife to go on a joy-ride to Lagos has caused him more harm than good. Anyways we wait to see how it unravels whether histroy would be made and honour restored in the Presidency is anyones guess. cool

Really the rumors of the airspace shtdown came up bt in a statement by the Special Assistant Media to the Hon. Minister of Aviation, Joe Obi, the Ministry of Aviation noted that the report circulating the internet and social media is false.

The statement partly reads:

“The Federal Ministry of Aviation will like to clarify that nothing could be farther from the truth. For the records, we wish to state that the First Lady arrived in Lagos at about 4.45p.m. on Saturday, 2nd June, 2012 and only departed for Abuja on Monday, the 4th of June, 2012 at 1.30p.m., whereas the ill-fated Dana flight 0992 departed Abuja on Sunday, 3rd of June, 2012 at 2.54p.m. and its last contact with the Lagos Control Tower was at 3.42p.m. as has already been announced.
We wish to stress that the First Lady did not fly on Sunday, the 3rd of June, 2012 as is widely been speculated”.

That's a relief, really.

Did the aviation ministry also went further in telling us if other landings/take-offs were made prior to when this ill-fated plane crashed? what will it take the retardeeness and her crew to quickly change their plans and publicise it after this miserable acts? Honestly, i dont trust them.
