This is a rough breakdown. Keep in mind that except for Basic quality paints, most paints are broken into different pricing for White & Colors.

Paints are roughly categorised into 3 in Nigeria. Top quality is Dulux. Berger comes second. Meyer & IPWA come a distant 3rd.
Medium Category is President, Eagle, Portland or sandtex as its popularly called. Eagle seems to stand out in this category.
Basic quality is Finecoat, Prestige, Precious, Value. There are no clear leaders in this category.

Also, Dulux, Berger and Portland have imported variants. You have no business with these unless U're building in Banana Island or working on ur own property.
Always be educated about the use of Products called Silk or Satin. they have specific use.

For a commercial property, Consider the following.
Location. Class of Building. Level of qualitative Finish achieved so far.
For commercial Buildings, I frequently recommend Basic quality for interiors/ Medium or High quality for exteriors.
As a developer, U have little control over how ur clients will treat their flats. But U can extend the lifespan of the paintwork outside by painting with quality products. This also keeps ur building at top value when new tenants are considering the property. There are other practices to be carried out in the public areas, on the baseline that accentuate and improve the quality of finish.
There are Plenty Private Paint makers who tell U they can give U Dulux Quality for half the Price. Most of them cant match their Promises. Proceed with caution.

People use the term "Quality" rampantly and with the aim to trick intending client/customers who are often too unaware of the rudiments involve in paint chemicals.

With that being said,I'd like to inform the many viewers, prospecting customers and those willing to purchase paints of any kind,make and brand that quality is just a term used in identifying or quantifying the greatness of paint. And the greatness is determined by volume of chemicals, in other words the increase of "content of materials/chemicals. The greater the paint, the more content of chemicals or vice versa.

In the paint industry when discussing paint we talk about Volume and there's always a standard volumetric measurement chemically,to all kinds or types of paint. Eg Emulsion might have 12-15kg of calcium carbonate and 2-5kg of Titanium Di oxide. In a standard paint solution. The more increase in chemicals the greater the quality hence the higher the cost unfortunately. Yes. They say "Better soup na money kill am"
