Late MKO Abiola's Family Want Him Declared Ex President Of Nigeria by hassymo5(m): 12:12pm On Jun 14, 2012
The family of late MKO Abiola and some South West Governors yesterday appealed to the Federal Government to officially declare the late businessman and politician, a former president of Nigeria.

The family said recognizing him as an ex president is the best way to immortalize the acclaimed winner of the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election, because according to them, 'Abiola offered himself as the sacrificial lamb for democracy to take roots in Nigeria'.

^^^ Was he sworn in as head of state or president at anytime?Doubt so.Meaning he won the elections but was not given the mantle of leadership. So he was at no time a president or C-in-C.He was at the most president-elect.
meaning:
-elect:An -elect is a political candidate who has been elected to an office but who has not yet been sworn in or officially taken office.
