Olapeju Onadipe, a post-master’s AWARD Fellow, won a prize at the recent first Africa College International Conference for her presentation titled “Cassava Value Chain Development in West Africa: Innovations and Partnerships that Worked.”

The presentation highlighted the successes of the cassava value-chain project in West Africa and provided evidence-based impact made so far and lessons learned.


While receiving the award certificate, Onadipe thanked the UK Collaborative on Development Sciences, who sponsored the prize.

The conference, featuring the theme Food Security, Health and Impact Knowledge Brokering, was held from June 22-24 at the University of Leeds, U.K. The conference goal was to demonstrate and share lessons on how to translate research results into impact on food security and human health in sub-Saharan Africa.
