New NNPC GMD Presents PIB To Jonathan by Leemladoja(m): 8:40pm On Jun 29, 2012
The newly appointed Group Managing Director (GMD) of NNPC, Engr Andrew Yakubu, said on Friday in Abuja that the new management team would reposition the corporation for better service delivery.

Yakubu spoke to State House Correspondents shortly after the presentation of the new Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) to President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports the Minister of Petroleum, Mrs Diezani Allison-Madueke, led a team of ministers and experts in the petroleum industry, including Yakubu, to submit the bill.
The GMD said NNPC as the mainstay of Nigeria’s economy should be repositioned to live to its statutory functions and to win back the trust of Nigerians.
The GMD said he would not only be transparent, he would carry all stakeholders as well as the Nigerian public along in his effort to achieve set objectives.
“We will work very hard to work with the Nigerian public, all the stakeholders to be as transparent as possible and we will work towards changing their perception.
“NNPC staff is dedicated to service; they are professional; there are areas of improvement that we can bring to bear.
