President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday nominated Justice Alooma Mukthar as Nigeria’s first female chief justice. The nomination was contained in a letter to the Senate. Jonathan also nominated Justice Clara Ogunbiyi and Justice Musa Mohammed as Justices of the Supreme Court.
