Well I'm no guidance councellor (lol!) So I'l just say what I'l do if I were in d@ situation. I'm a result - oriented person and if I'm not getting what I'm paying for/signed up for,I'mso asking for a refund and going off to a better place where I'l get fulfillment. Just think things thru and act cos time waits for no woman :-) |

QSola: @ onari, tnks. I tink I'm gonna speak my mind 2mao. Really appreciate Hi Qsola, I wuld like to ask before starting the training did you ask the amt of time he would train you for? I noticed these tailors like to keep people for a long time whereas fashion skls teach for abt 4-6 months and depending on your seriousness you can learn a lot. Maybe not everything but a lot for you to make decent clothes, it all depends on you sha. The thing with these tailors is dat they learnt under tough bosses who kept them in apprentiship for years hardly teachiNg anything and so they want to inflict the same pain on others. If you haven't paid him I wld advise learning in a fashion schl and then attaching yourself to a tailor for a while if u still need to. |

Sewing tip for the house: -Choose your needle according to the heaviness of your fabric - You don't need a zipper foot to sew on an 'invisible zipper'. A regular presser foot can do d trick! |

onnari :I suggest you match your needle size to the weight of the sheer fabric ( try a size 9 needle) and for the Jersey fabric, you need to use Jersey needles. I know these are not readily available here though.I'll try and post here more often to share the little I know with other sewing enthusiasists. |
