please advise me should I get a brand new hyundai accent or a toyota corolla 2007 model tokunboh

I have not driven the new Accent but the look is elegant and cool. The corolla is solid and balance. Your budget will play a role here. New car is good but dipreciates in value faster than Toks when u are reselling. If u are selling a new car after 2 years u are losing up to 50% of the cost.
If their prices are the same with similar features buy the Accent and enjoy your life in a tear rubber car, it is more dignifying.

i very much agree with first responder, a toyota has more 2nd hand value though but a new car is a new car considering the fact dat you do not have so much experience with cars i advice you go for a new car if the price diff is not much,especially for the fact that new cars come with warranty and some millage of free servicing.

I did not want to mention warranty because they are not honored by our dealers. I worked in a car company for 4 years selling new cars. The 3 years or 100K Km warranty we tell u only covers your transmission and engine which rarely go bad within the validity period of ur warranty. Most promos services have hidden clauses.
Get the Accent if it has what u want in a car and prepare to pay for maintenance.
Ask for warranty scope at Stallon, get full details let them sign it.

OP, I guess you should go for the hyundai accent. pls and pls, can you do me a favor. whatz d cost of d hyundai accent from say 2008-2012 model. i'm also in such a dillemma like you are now. i'd love to know. thanks bro

@ stolen stone, the 2012 is the thing, it is beautiful from the outside. Previous models are dry, with complete plastic interior.
I got an Accord 08 for an uncle with16k miles it drives like new at half the price of new with similar features.(pls i am not a dealer here)
Like i said it depends on what features u want and ur budget. e.g Automatic. Power windows and mirrors. Air bags. alloy.ABS. EBD. Traction control. cost of spare parts. etc

Thanks y'all. The manual 2012 Accent costs almost N3million. I have not really checked how much the toyota would be but i bet it would be round about the same cost if I would be requiring an American Spec. I hear all the new cars in Nigeria are sort of stripped down on some items liek number of air bags.

kushkush sorry to say this but i think you must have been mislead. my boss bought the 2012 accent from stallion. full options about 2months ago for 2.6mill. so please recheck. cos i think the elantra is about 3.2mill(needs verification).

Thanks Siena. getting a an Accent now at N2.6m is way beyong my budget. On the other hand I have beentrying to get an 08 corolla from the US and an agent says it's gonna cost up to N2.4m to have it delivered. God help me

Go for the Corolla. Get a very clean American trim with all the comforts there is. That'd be real value for your money.

Siena: I would go with an '08 Toyota Corolla.
