His wife suddenly became wayward, challenging every authority he has at home. He called her aside on four separate occasions and read out the riot act i.e. the consequences of her actions if not checked. Rather, she grew more aggressive, walking out on him on two of the four occasions. He informed his mother-in-law but she only paid lip service and promised things would improve but all to no avail. He involved her best friend but she subtly supported the woman and from the series of interactions, she was identified as the "chief adviser". Finally, he involved a family priest who was unusually closer to the woman than the man despite his cheeful dispostion towards him, yet he stylishly dodged mediating truce on three separate occasions. Having exhausted all options, he finally showed everyone the stuff he's made of. His stance was loud and clear - marriage is over, either go with the kids or leave kids behind, or he moves out alone or with the kids. But whatever the options, there has to be a separation! Suddenly, the woman realizes the game is up! She now goes from pillar to post asking all who care to listen to intervene to save her marriage. Even those who had refused to intervene earlier upon the man's invitation now fall over one another just to get his attention. It's been two straight weeks now and he has paid deaf ears to all pleas. Rather he's busy going about trying to legalize the separation in a court of law.
And I ask, why allow things go out of control before coming to our senses most times?
