panafrican: Does Cameroom mean Lobsters? you guys have great food out there !I know the portuguese name (they were the first to discover the region now known as WOURI.) the name was Camaroes which means shrimps ..then the German came and called it KAmerun so Cameroon means shrimps not lobster...and thanks yes our food is delicious |

How are cameroonians like in general? Are they proud, hostile, arrogant, hardworking, loud, welcoming, patient, kind etc? ? What do cameroonians (in city) enjoy doing on weekends? What is an average cameroonian's favorite dish. Is it possible to pick a cameroonian from the crowd? what physical characteristics distinguishes them from the rest? Do you love your country? If so why? Which other country in Africa would you prefer to live in,if Cameroon suddenly disappeared? why? Do they respect their women,do they support women representatives in various sectors or do they face discrimination? How is your education system like? is it free? What do investors seek for most in Cameroon? Which sector attracts them? Do you have many foreigners in Cameroon? What about religion? are you guys 'obsessed' with religion? Am sorry but you said ask.So I did. 1 Like |

pendo89: How are cameroonians like in general? Are they proud, hostile, arrogant, hardworking, loud, welcoming, patient, kind etc? ?1)Cameroonian are calm ,hardworking, serious, they have class ,ambitious, welcoming(see the number of immigrants in Cameroon esp Nigerians),proud(each Cameroonian has the Cameroonian's flag in his home/room esp those abroad.. everything is done to show that we r Cameroonian and never forget where we r from 2)weekend it depends of age a) 5-13 going to sport club(martial arts, football ,basketball tennis etc.) but since facebook and all those intene stuff they would rather now surfing the web.. b)14-25 partying, going to night club or friend's parties, dating (going out with their gf in parks) c)25-30 most of them are married so every family activities ..some go t their villages etc NB: this is on saturday. sunday it's the the family day everybody stay at home. 3)Cameroonian are very open-minded and i can tell u most of us don't have a favorite dish ..but everybody enjoy: OKOK,Ndole, mbongo, gombo , ndoack.. 4) as an African country there are so much ethnicity that i will say no..people from the north to the south and the west to the east are so different. only a Cameroonian can identify another one..physical traits this is a tough one most of us are tall( between5'11 and 6'6) rounded eyes and face small ears, attractive mouth/lips. 5) i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE my country..because of the Cameroonian mentality ,the way we speak ,what we achieved, our class.but on a personal basis i love my country because that's all i have ...it's the only place where i feel at home and can call my home ..i also like Cameroonian/Cameroon cause in few words we understand each other ....our slang are unique, our jokes++++.. i like our music and last but not the least we are really peaceful. 6) Damn i can't even imagine Cameroon disappearing..why are u so mean lol ...but okay actually i don't really know sorry i have never thought about living in another country. 7) women are very well represented in any kind of activities ..they face no-discrimination a least no open -discrimination..and Cameroonian respect women they are our queens education system i will come with more details ..but it's not free the public on is very cheap but the private is very expensive ..university(public one) are cheap till bachelor degree then u must at lest have a 12/20 and u must have never failed in your undergraduate process to continue in Master where it becomes more expensive...private university are different they are expensive om the beginning to the end but have the same academic requirements 9) Telecommunication,Agriculture, extraction of minerals and woods or rare essence 10) a lot of foreigners(Nigerians, liberians chadians, centrafricans, ivoirians senegalese etc) i will post the exact stats later 11)about religions: we are open-minded every religions cohabit together ..no clashes we have understood that there is no need to fight about foreign religions. Christians go eat with Muslims during the feast of mouton we are the one who ask them when it will be cause it's a national day off ..every religious day or feast is a day off for any religions (catholicism and islam) so everyone is happy when comes the feast of a religion cause everybody will profit of that so we r definitively not obsessed with that 1 Like |

CAMEROONPRIDE: CAMEROON IS DIVIDE IN 10 regions so : Main languages in Cameroon are ( even though we got more than 250 language) : Hausa, Fufuldé,Bamiléké, Bassa'a, Duala and Ewondo your answer is not complete brother by the way Cameroon is not just Yaounde indeed, Buea, Limbe, Kribi, Bamenda etc...are super nice towns too .Originally Douala is the Bassa'a hometown then Duala came to settle because Bassa'a people were welcoming, in Center this is not just Ewondo even though they're numerous, Eton people and Bassa'a as well are there (Eseka, Otélé,Makak, Matomb, Botmakak, Boumyébel...) the train from YAOUNDE TO DOUALA are full of Bassa'a because their villages are located from there between this two towns even in the South together with Bulu and Batanga or Ntumu. Ewondo are not originally for the South or you want to associate BETI-FANG? Plus Adamaoua doesn't speak Fufuldé don't mistaken brother, it's because they're from the North we generalize but they're many ethnic groups out there |
