any journalist that venture into such zone does it at his/her risk. imagine christiana amanpour with a gun, dey will engage her sharply and even take her for a suicide bomber.

Ever seen a reporter from Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, or Syria armed This thread is whack, as is its OP.

who ever opened this thread i think doesn't have an idea abt humanitarian law. The mere fact that the journalist carries arms, simply makes him a combatant and anybody who kills him has nothing to answer in the eys of the law.......such case will be handled in the line of proportionality as to the comparison of the action of the person who shot him and the action of the journalist. Its left for legal technicalities.

bullet proof,bomb proof,odeshi,Ak 47.wateva keeps them alive.for those of you that are saying they shouldnt carry guns,what of in cases wia the enemy combatants tries to kill the journalist by sending people to kill him.what happens?

Guyz, I actually know they(tje Journalists) do not need to carry arms... But for this we naija, wia d army wey dey protect d journalists na... CNN, Aljazeera e.t.c reporters are well protected by the military... Abi Boko understand d rules of engagement?
