I think that was the final straw

I have been offered admission at BGSU but not placed on funding list yet. Grad coord says he will let me know if this changes. Any advise on what else I can do? Can I still reach out to advisors in the dept for possible GA placement ?

Bro, how did you know that first 6 priority applicants have been given offers?

Cause the program coordinator said so.

He said they only had 6 slots and they received over 35 applications.

He said they’ll continue to review applications as there are available funding and will let those who are on waiting list know if they’re admitted with funding accordingly.

A friend of mine in the school said they even stopped giving admission without funding as previous applicants that were admitted without funding abandoned their program.

PhD. I applied to three schools actually. All of them are saying that they will start rolling out decisions very soon. These guys know how to reply diplomatically.

I am beginning to think that positive decisions have been sent out already.

Send an email to the graduate coordinator of your program. Did you speak to a potential supervisor before applying ? You can as well send an email to the person inquiring an update on your application.

I called my husband and actually blasted him calling him a very big liar and how embarrassed I am.on Monday I left for the hospital he called and we discussed some business and the kids(I was actually not angry again knowing that he is no different from any other guy,if you see how he use to condemn cheating ehh....) Only for my mum to call me around 12 in the afternoon to ask me questions,my husband actually called my mum after I confronted him about what the girl said to tell her he is DONE with me,that I don't give him peace in the house that this and that.in summary calling the girl actually triggered divorce because I am ready for anything.

1i paid for driving lessons (he literally have to drive me everywhere or I take Uber)

3 signed up for gym classes.

In a way I lost myself trying to be a good wife and mother that I literally drove away alot of my friends.i had to stop talking with a good olfriend of mine because my husband was chatting with her behind my back for long (this is one of the reasons I don't trust him)

really? Does it impede possibility of getting GAs? I would have thought maybe GRE would be enough or if an advisor agrees to accept you to join his lab. There’s a university I saw that ask students not to even submit their GRE scores.

I believe most US schools wave English proficiency exams for Nigerians ? Or you are writing in order to have chances of applying to other scholarships and schools.

Unfortunately, I don't have a a script for appealing for application waiver. But I believe such exists on the internet. Don't be worried, just state the papers are "in review" on your CV. Attach your transcripts and the professor assess your profile. The main thing is getting the PI's assent/approval.

I recently wrote GRE and had 329. (v;161, Q;168). I’m waiting for the official result to be released but I’m very worried about the Analytic writing part. I started with that and I’m not sure I aced it. Still waiting on the official result.

You shouldn’t be perturbed. Not all schools even require that high scores in AWA.
