Nigerian-born British rapper Skepta is preparing to become a father.

The 35-year old superstar shared a photo of an ultrasound scan on his page, with the image titled "Baby Adenuga." Skepta's name is Joseph Adenuga.

There's no word on who the mother is, though he's been dating supermodel Naomi Campbell for the past 4 months.

The NBA has revealed a new format for the annual All-Star Game, scrapping the regular East versus West format.

Instead, two captains – the leading fan vote-getter from the East and leading fan vote-getter from the West – will select players for their squad regardless of conference affiliation.

The captains will select from a pool of 22 other All-Stars. In total, there will still be 12 All-Stars from each conference.

The NBA and National Basketball Players Association announced the new format on Tuesday, and the Los Angeles contest on Feb. 18 will be the first NBA All-Star Game that is not East vs. West.

LaVar Ball has announced that he will be withdrawing youngest son LaMelo from the Chino Hills high school to home school him.

"I'm going to make him the best basketball player ever," LaVar said.

The future is already bright for LaMelo, who scored 92 points in a game for the Huskies last year. His eldest brother Lonzo is a rookie point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers, while LiAngelo is a freshman at UCLA.

"It's good for Melo," LaVar said. "Less distractions. He just needs to focus." His main reason for the decision appears to the Huskies new coach, Dennis Latimore.

Google’s Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are only days from release, and photos of the devices have surfaced online, as well as specs and more.

From the released photo, leaked by serial leaker Evan Blass, Google seems to have re-designed the home screen, with the search bar moving from the top of the screen to the very bottom.


Unlike many of this year’s flagships like the iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy S8, the Pixel 2 XL has bezels, though it still offers a 18:9 display ratio. Both speaker grilles are also on the front of the phone.

Both the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL are expected to come with the Snapdragon 835 processor. The Pixel 2 has a 5-inch FHD display, compared to the XL’s 6-inch QHD+ display.


The remaining specs are similar, including 4GB of RAM, either 64GB or 128GB of storage, and 12-megapixel primary rear cameras.

The Pixel 2 is expected to cost $649/$749, while the Pixel 2 XL is expected to cost $849/$949.

The phones are expected to be announced on the 4th of October, the same day the original Pixel and Pixel XL were announced last year. A mini connected speaker, a laptop, refreshed VR headset, and more devices are also expected to be unveiled that day.

Former England striker Rickie Lambert has announced his retirement, calling time on his career at the age of 35.

He left Cardiff City in July, and has been without a club since. He also played for Premiership sides like Southampton, Liverpool and West Brom.

He scored 218 goals in 607 league games in a career that spanned 19 years and took in nine clubs.

"I feel lucky to have been involved in this sport for as long as I have," said the Liverpool-born forward.

MMA superstar Conor McGregor has claimed that he’d beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. if they faced again.

McGregor lost to Mayweather via a 10th-round TKO when the duo met in Las Vegas in August.

He said: “What’s sickening me is that the little motherf***er (Mayweather) is retired now. I know if I went another go with him, under boxing rules, I’d get that win. I know that. I know by the feeling of him in the first fight.”

A court in India has freed 3 men convicted of rape after deeming the victim to be promiscuous because she drank and owned condoms.

The young woman -- a student at the Jindal Global Law School -- was once in a consensual relationship with one of the rapists, Hardik Sikri, according to a BBC report.

However, for 18 months after the relationship ended, Sikri used nude photos of the victim to blackmail and rape her.

HBO plans to spend a whooping $15 million (N5.5 billion) on each episode of the eight season of its flagship TV show, Game of Thrones. 

Previous episodes of the show had cost $10 million, but with the final season to have feature-length episodes, the cost of production has taken a huge bump.

Part of the increased costs is being based on special effects, with an highly anticipated dragon-on-dragon battle between Drogon and his now undead brother, Viserion.

There's also the filming of the great war, with all the armies set to clash, and would obviously take a lot of resources.

Everton striker Wayne Rooney may be the latest character in popular mobile game, Angry Birds.

The game's logo currently appears on Everton's shirt sleeve, after makers Rovio signed a deal with the Merseyside club over the summer.

It's the first season that Premier League clubs have been allowed to carry sleeve sponsors.

"We have a history of doing Angry Bird homages of real-life characters so obviously now we are in collaboration (with Everton) we can work together to bring interesting characters and profiles into the games," said Ville Heijari, Rovio Entertainment's chief marketing officer.

Weeks after photos and video services had been disrupted, China has now fully blocked all of WhatsApp's services, including text messages.

Nadim Kobeissi, an applied cryptographer at Symbolic Software, a Paris-based research firm that also monitors digital censorship in China, told Verge: “Essentially, it seems that what we initially monitored as censorship of WhatsApp’s photo, video and voice note sharing capabilities in July has now evolved to what appears to be consistent text messaging blocking and throttling across China.”

Cardi B is officially the queen of music right now, as Bodak Yellow rises to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Cardi becomes the first female rapper to top the chart with an unassisted single since the legendary Lauryn Hill did it 19 years ago with Doo Wop. 

She's the 5th female rapper ever to reach the top of the charts, with the last being Iggy Azalea and her Charli XCX-assisted track, Fancy, in 2014.

Soul singer Charles Bradley has passed on at the age of 68 following a battle with cancer.

Bradley, whose career started in his later years, was known for his style, which modeled that of his role model, legendary singer James Brown. 

His debut album, No Time For Dreaming,  was released in 2011, when Bradley was 62 years old.

The winner of the 2017 Miss Turkey beauty pageant, Itir Esen, has been stripped of her title after only one day.

Esen was stripped of her title because of a tweet that was deemed insulting to the memory of the 250 people killed while opposing last year's failed military coup.

She wrote: "I am having my period this morning to celebrate the July 15 martyrs' day. I am celebrating the day by bleeding a representation of our martyrs' blood."

The organizers said in an emailed statement that her title was revoked because of a tweet in July that they described as "unacceptable."

The government of Zimbabwe is reportedly considering a number of possible steps to reduce the abuse of alcohol in the country.

A new law is being proposed, which will limit the times in which alcohol can be sold, as well as the people it can be sold to.

The new law will particularly target motor vehicle drivers, who will face arrest if found driving with blood alcohol concentration levels going beyond 0.08 per 100ml, The Zimbabwe Mail reports.

Five Star Music singer KCee recently released his second studio album, Attention To Detail. Read our review of the album below.

The album is 22 tracks long, and is, for all an intents and purposes, a highlife album made for the dance floor. Given the album's length, its not much of a surprise that there are lazy, poorly written lyrics everywhere.

The album is thin lyrically, with most of the album revolving around women and romance and all that. "I met this find girl called Vanessa/She do me strong thing for Malaysia". Really, KCee. Really.

One of the few exceptions, if not the only one, is Oje, where he sings about the hardships of the country.

Legendary singer Oliver De Coque was so particular about his looks, he spent N30,000 on his beard weekly.

This was revealed in a recent interview by Darlington, one of the musician and guitarist's 12 children.

Darlington said: "He loved to buy clothes. He spent a lot of money maintaining his looks. In fact, he spent N30,000 on his beard weekly. It may sound funny but taking care of his beard alone cost him N30,000. He went to his salon twice a week. He always said his beard was his signature look. He said if someone decided to keep beard, it was right to maintain it."

He also spoke about his father's last moments: "He fell ill at the end of year 2007. He was diabetic and hypertensive. I believe most artistes don’t like to disclose their health challenge. I think that mentality is wrong. I feel if he had disclosed his health challenge, he would have gotten help quick.

If you stumble after drinking red wine, you may be doing it wrong. An experiment on laboratory mice found a diet rich in resveratrol - a compound found in red wine - improved older mice’s balance over time.

"Our study suggests that a natural compound like resveratrol...could actually decrease some of the motor deficiencies that are seen in our aging population," the scientist who led the experiment told the American Chemical Society.
