Well said and this is quite true... Thanks a lot, I appreciate your contribution!

Hey 🤠

** All thanks and appreciation goes to God.

1. Don't worry about high amount of deficit if your Big Aunt in the USA can cover it via her financial evidences.

2. If the daughter of Mr Bill Gate applied to the University of Cambridge and gained admission but failed to secure any scholarship would the UK embassy in the USA denied her visa based on deficit ? The answer is NO ! Her father has absolutely more than enough funds to cover her deficit . She may however be denied visa on other grounds.

Best Wishes 🙏

Thanks so much for your kind contribution I really appreciate, your message have put my mind at rest a bit smiley
I'm not really after the scholarship, but particular about the high amount(almost $40k). Cause someone was saying with the high deficit, my chances are slim.
I don't want to go to the embassy with the notion of rejection because of the amount. That is why seeking for advise here.
Once I appreciate 🙏

OyoTunjiUSA:

Hey 🤠

1. Having scholarships or fundings is not the birth-right of any prospective international applicant, and the USA Embassies has not stipulated or Mandated in any of their F-1 visa rules & policies that " All international students MUST secure scholarships or funds to secure visa.

2. Only PhD applicants needs " Compulsory Fundings " And that being said , if a PhD applicant can provide absolutely more than 3-times required funds that will cover the duration of his/her PhD (as indicated in the Form I-20) , then such PhD applicant will however secure F-1 visa.

3. For Bsc & Msc, what the USA embassy is concerned about is " HOW do you want to fund your educational expenses all through your studentship In the USA, not How many of scholarships do you got?

4. If the proof of funds that is being sent to the school by your Big Aunt is acceptable for the process of your Form I-20 then its going to be acceptable by the embassy . Therefore , your Big Aunt is your sponsor and she must release the copy of same prove of funds to you when going for your F1-visa interview.

5. If you have 100% scholarships and failed in other aspects (ties to Nigeria , post study plans, relevant of your program of study, your aunt visa histories, your academic history etc) your visa would be denied.

Best Wishes 🙏

It looks okayish but if the bill on your i20 is high and you're sponsored by an uncle or aunt, then it might raise eyebrows.

I will be more comfortable with a public university in New Hampshire such as Keene State College, Plymouth State University and any of the Universities of New Hampshire.
Please like how of fee can be high dat will make VO to raise eye brow.
Cos My aunt in USA wanna sponsor my MBA and the fee is around $26k (can dis be too high?)

Time2win:

It's late for fall but i think university of new haven is still admitting, you have to search for more schools online and mail Graduate coordinators to know if they are still accepting applications.

95% of people that went to USA Embassy in Nigeria with that school were refused. It's a redflag school. If you want to learn more, use the nairaland search box and search the school name, you will get lots of info about the school.
Travel / Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by demmyfranc(m): 1:28pm On May 17, 2019
Red flag school ke? You mean it will be difficult for me to visa through that school? Or what exactly do you mean by red flag... Please explain further cos my head already turnioninown
Brown2Green:

Now I asked because that school is regarded as a red flag school.
So if you still want to proceed prepare your mind to answer how you got to apply and make your mind on going to that school.

If your school put your cousin as the sponsor and your SOA bears your aunt, then by all means request a new I20. No two ways about that.

Hello my people
Congrats to those who already have their visa approve, we hope to join you soon by God's grace.
I have an admission to VIU (VIRGINIA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY) and my tuition fee (including living expenses and books) totaling $26670
My aunt who is a registered Nurse in USA will sponsor me. (*I hope VO won't say the fee is too high for aunt to sponsor*)
*They already sent my I-20, however they wrote Nephew as sponsor (instead of Aunt). *
Please what do you think? Do I need to complain that they send another I-20
Please kindly advice on this two issue raised (anybody with good information)
Thank you

Career / The Power To Create Wealth by demmyfranc(m): 3:44pm On Aug 20, 2013
It has been determined worldwide that the politics of a nation controls the economy of that nation. Since human nature is naturally greedy, in most parts of the world, a small group of people hold on to political power and control the economy in their favour. The most prosperous societies are those which are structured in such a way that although the leaders have the power to make policies and decisions, the citizens have the power to control the leaders who control the economy – that is true democracy. Even though it is not going to be easy, our responsibility is to restructure the society in a way that those who hold public office are accountable to the citizenry. This is because those currently in power are very unwilling to let go of the comfort, wealth and influence they enjoy. For there to be change, we should be willing to confront the system, sacrifice and lay our lives down to bring about the necessary change.
For you to have influence, you need to be financially empowered or capable; if not, survival becomes your main preoccupation. Wealth is created, that is, to bring into existence something that has not existed before. The good news is that you have creative capabilities just like God. The process of creating and adding value to other people’s lives is the essence of work. Some people think that work is a result of Adam’s fall but the truth is that God gave him work even before his fall. Even God worked for six days and rested on the seventh. There is mental work and physical work and both require effort. The quality of your mental work is what gives value to your physical work, but the mental work comes first. Make your mind work. The poorest nations in the world are the ones in which the citizens do not exert themselves mentally. Anyone who avoids mental rigour cannot be rich. Hard work is much more than sweating and exerting yourself physically.
Esau was a hunter who exerted himself while Jacob, “a mild man who dwelt in tents”, should not be considered a lazy man. Jacob did more thinking since he reared cattle and ultimately, became greater than Esau. The day came when Jacob bought an intangible resource (the birthright) from Esau with a tangible resource (food). He bought the future. Realize that what God has given you capacity to do, He will never do on your behalf. Meeting needs and solving problems for other people with products and services is our means of generating income. To solve problems, you need skills; you need to know how to do something properly. Get education, get training, serve as an apprentice and conquer laziness. Taking value from others without giving value back or without their permission is stealing and that is a bad strategy for creating wealth . Stealing attracts a curse . As a man, beyond technical skills, you have the supernatural ability to solve problems for people and to add value to their lives.
