Maybe you should come and stay with him and see what I’m talking about
My darling sister, unfortunately you cannot help your husband. It will only get worse( from experience). If he would change it will be through his personal decision and conscious effort. I am sorry no one(outside God ) can help him.
In situations like this you have to consider your safety, the safety of your children. Trust me you wont like your son to grow to be like his father(this is the example he is seeing). And you wont like your daughter to see this example as a good man she should be with when she is of a marriageable age. No matter the age of your children, they understand what is going on.
If you have a supportive family please explain explicitly to them what is going on. I think you need a good source of income and then consider separation (not necessarily divorce). As time goes on you will know what next to do.
What do tou think will become of your children if anything bad happens to you ? Think about them and do the right thing

God hates divorce
But do you think God will love his daughter to be killed by her husband?
Wisdom is profitable to direct.
A separation is usually better in situations like this

When wives of cheating husbands want to leave society will say no. Stay with your husband. Love your husband, n9w the poor woman got a disease that can't be cured because she wants to save her marriage and child. And now the child is tired and broken. When will women learn to leave?

With the availability of the tourist visa/Schengen visa on the VFS webpage, is it possible to change it to work visa or study visa on getting to Portugal?
too risky and problematic. Please I beg you don't even think about it. Many are stuck here because of that. Either go for study route or job seeker.

Are you replying to me based on what you heard or are you in Portugal?

No one, No Jobseeker Gets Residency in 6months..... none!

The only and fastest way to Residency is tru Study for 6 Months maximum if you meet the requirements.

Job seeker is another Manifestation of Interest but a Faster approach.

You get a job and go for your appointment, with your job contract, Then for the next 3 months, your TAX is reviewed.

I am in Portugal..the appointment comes automatically with the job seeker visa.
When you get a job that comes with a contract your tax will be automatically deducted and settled. You don't need a lawyer. You don't need a manifestation of interest, we already did that when applying for the visa and that is why the visa came with appointment for SEF.
The most important and difficult part is to get a job.
This problem you are explaining applies to those who came with tourist visa.

This Jobseeker and Job seeker wey I dey hear everywhere .... Una dey try to ask the people wey don enter Portugal with this visa, HOW FAR?

This visa is a TRAP, making life very difficult for those already on the ground.

From No JOBS to bringing a PERMIT and not Recognizing your JOBSEEKER visa .... Many things are happening inside.

Don't forget that getting the Job is not even the toughest, The TAX (3-6 months), as Portuguese employers don't file your tax for you, You have to pay a lawyer or accountant to file your invincible TAXES.

Make your inquiries oo, apart from say the Visa Rejection rate sef LOUD.
I really appreciate it that you are looking out for people. But it's not that bad.
1.You don't need lawyer for Job seeker visa. Maybe those that used the tourist visa do. But for jobseeker visa you don't need a lawyer
2. Once you get a job every other thing is settled.
Although getting a job can be a VERY difficult but if u have a skill and basic knowledge of portugese you are good to go. A friend got a plumbing job in two weeks. I got mine a little later. Some people get jobs some don't. You never know till you try. Everyone has different grace. But trust me the job seeker visa is the best path to getting your residency. If all goes well in less than 6 months you have your card. But like I said getting the job is most important
3. The language. Please and please learn before you come. It makes your lire easier... I wish I did. It would even help get a job speedily
4.please come with enough money to sustain you till you get a job. U don't want to sleep outside o. Come with money. Lol

Please for clarity, Health Insurance or Travel Insurance. I believe they are not same. You only pay for Health insurance after visa approval as i am told for portugal.
Anyone can confirm this?
I really don't understand your question. You have to pay for health insurance before applying for visa. It's one of the criteria. I used axa mansard. And make sure it covers the duration of travel

Please I have a question, I don't have my original certificate yet, but my school agreed to send me the original copy to my email

My question is can I print, and can I authenticate that copy, or I need to submit the original certificate for authentication.

The issue is I have to travel down to pick up the original copy which will cost me nothing less than 300k including flight cost etc.

So I'm looking for other alternatives.

Thank you.
if it's job seeker visa. You don't need to worry. Even statement of result will do. It's the photocopy you are to submit. Just make sure you write a good cover letter and a good statement of purpose

Lol I hope you are not wasting your congratulations 😂
That moniker sounds like a travel agent.
That post might be a bait.
I might be wrong though but I ran a quick check on the moniker after he posted and I found out that he is into helping students get Cyprus study visa.
I am not against being a travel agent or consultant, but I am against deception.
Oh... I see

i think you should start looking for appointments now...and at the same time get your documents ready. Getting an appointment done turn to something else.

that's a good sign. The longer it takes the higher your chances of getting the visa

So a friend shared something with me, but this mostly applies to people already outside or in the EU, you can actually pay a lawyer to get something called a Portugal activity for freelancers, this can help with getting a Tax number and with that one can apply for a job, currently looking at that, and if you already have an EU visa, you can easily go to portugal and while for the application.

Hoping to have more research on this. It's for freelancers
Thank you for this beautiful information
About how much do you think the lawyer would charge?
Let's say one is a freelancer(KDP publisher) but not earning much from it. Will that work?

Type of Visa
RESIDENCY VISA - JOB SEEKER VISA

some portugese texts and at the end of the message i finally get the one below.......

The Portuguese diplomatic representation of your country of residence does not have this online service available. Thank you.

Am i doing the right thing
No. You are to get an appointment through vfs. Go to the vfs website and book appointment there. Although getting appointment date is difficult but with God all things are possible https://visa.vfsglobal.com/nga/en/prt/login

Plz wat are the requirements and secondly I have someone to stay with in Portugal how do I prove that to dem…. Lastly how do I tell the insurance guys to up the insurance to 30k euro

The axamansard insurance is automatic once you pay the 26k. Even the vfs website has a list of health insurance that you can use.
For the requirements I'll advise you read through this thread. It was been written quite a number of times.
Hope the person you have there is a close family. If the person is a friend I'm not sure it will work.

Guys I was refused Portugal job seeker visa .
I had my appointment at VFS Global Abuja JAnuary 30, 2024 and received DHL courier February 7.
Reason: Doubts about the intentions and objectives of stay. They say I can appeal
What is the appeal process. I have 10 days.
House kindly advise.

Note: I had previous Portugal Schengen visa of 36 days I did not use last year because I changed jobs
sorry about this. But please don't give up. I watched a YouTube video where the lady said she was refused but advised to appeal and she's now there.
Did you explain why you did not use the visa you were issued ? Come up with a tangible reason plus evidence of your reason In your appeal
Also include ALL the documents you have. Including photocopies of certifications, diploma. Degree e.t.c
Did you attach a letter or statement of purpose? Do it in your appeal
Explain properly why you would want to go ro portugal to look for job? Explain why you love portugal? Explain the experience and qualifications you are bringing to the table
Don't give up. You will share the good news by the Grace of God
Google the appeal process.

I think that is the documents they send to everyone who fill the form nothing different and I don't know if anyone has been able to get this visa from Nigeria, I still can't see any success story here.
I have a friend who has gone via this route. I met him on nairaland I would have loved to tag his moniker but he wouldn't like that. He is there now. We started the journey together then but I didn't believe it would work out so I faced another country. I'm back now o . I'm going with full force. No more doubting Thomas.

1, The difference between black market and official rate aren't too far apart, however, it won't be as high as the black market rate

2, All you need to do is give approval, the embassy will take care of that

3, Go to vfs portal or Google "VFS Nigeria Portugal national visa form"
God bless you. Thank you

On the day of your appointment, they'll write out what you'll need to pay in naira using the rate of that day, it's not something that's pegged at a particular rate
Thank you but please I have more questions
1. Do you think it will be as high as black market rate?
2. The *consent form for SEF to do back ground check* where will I get it?
3. The *Natioanl visia application form* where will I get it?

Thank you
