Kanu Nwankwo's Heart Foundation is about to build a specialist hospital in Nigeria purely to deal with heart matters and President Goodluck Jonathan will lead top Nigerians in the private and public sector to formally launch the Kanu Nwankwo Foundation on March 3.
Kanu Nwankwo has said the hospital would treat children from ages zero to 12 free of charge no matter the level of infection.

“Previously, the Foundation raises money to take people with heart conditions abroad for surgery and other treatments. This time we are going to build specialist hospital that would be purely for heart issues. It would make treatment cheaper as well as reduce the number of people going abroad for heart treatment thereby saving the country enormous foreign exchange,” he said

The 12th century bishop of Armagh, Saint Malachy predicted that the next pope will be the last before the coming of Christ. That there will be only one more pope after Benedict, and during his reign comes the end of the world.

St Malachy, born in 1094 A.D. in Armagh, Ireland, had actually accurately predicted the place and time of his own death: Clairvaux, France, on All Souls Day, November 2, 1148.

Collins Ifeanyi Chukwu died yesterday at Maitama General Hospital, Abuja after a brief illness. Survived by his young wife, Blessing and his little son, Doxa Efechukwu Collins, Collins was a Nollywood director, actor and producer before his death. May his soul rest in perfect peace, Amen.

Ghanaian leading man Majid Michel has joined the Tinsel star studded cast and from Tuesday February 19, will appear on the show where he will be playing himself. He has already completed filming of his scenes for the soap.

Asked why he took on a Tinsel guest role, Majid’s answer is both emotional and practical.
“A long time ago, I realized that my acting is not only about myself, it’s an extension of many things that I hope for in our industry. So I made up my mind to extend myself to film projects that improve our movie making prospects within the continent. I believe that this can also inspire young actors coming behind me. TINSEL is a typical reflection of that, after all, its’ one of the most successful soaps out of Nigeria.”
