I could be sexually active once in a while, when out of relationship tho it’s always protected .. and it always seem to have no effect
immortalcrown:
I don't understand your point. Your caption says sex but your post is just talking about relationship. Do you mean your business crumbles when you are in a relationship or do you mean your business crumbles when you have sex with a woman? Please, explain further.

You can be in a relationship without sexual intercourse. You can have sex without being in a relationship.

If relationship without sex affects your financial status, you have a spiritual problem. But if sex is what affects your financial status, you are destined to be a holy man. Williams Uchemba said sexual immorality takes him back financially.

Romance / Help, This Happens When I’m Sex Starved by naijablood: 7:59am On Dec 24, 2022
I started observing this pattern since 2018
I was posted away from my then girlfriend to another state for NYSC hence couldn’t engage in serious relationship through out my service

…But seriously that year was one of my favorite in terms of financial success.
As a serving corper I was also working freelance for two different companies in Lagos. … coupled with other gigs … I was in money.

After service I met a lady and we kicked off a relationship, within 2months of us into the love affair, I lost the two jobs as a freelance was done with service so had to start some money making venture, but was tough, well the relationship lasted four months.

After three months of us breaking up I had a business idea, year 2020, got into it and within two months I made my first million was single for a year.

2021 I met a lady and started meeting … and within a space of 6 months, I was back to square one…

Early this year was tough and depressing, and by June, we were already having relationship problem, hence some space between us.

But from September I notice some positivity, business took off I started saving up and by November I had to buy a property to compensate myself for a hardworking year ..

Now my problem is I’m disturbed , this lady been asking for us making the relationship official .. but I’m scared loosing it all … I keep getting back to the ground when I’m in relationship…

But will I be single for life … I’m just lost.

All right. Imagine an estate, which I call a mini silicon Valley, where freelancer can gym, interact, have fun together, rub minds together... That would be great.

I will get an architect and estate planner to work out the cost and get back to everyone on this. I think the perfect area would be ajah or ikorodu or lagos/ibadan express way. That's where one can get a decent estate that could be affordable for everyone.

I would work on it
the Lagos-Ibadan express way would be ideal .. as it will target Lagos, Ogun, and Ibadan .. and it will also be affordable

I understand how you feel bro.

Even me that has been freelancing for up to 6 years is not immune to this problem. Working at home prevented me from having a significant partner, making friends and interacting with others, thereby making me frustrated and depressed sometimes.

I figured out a way to this problem over time.

Like someone said, you can get an office outside your home.
You can also cultivate the habits of going to the gym or having time for vacation. And you can also add clubbing to your routine if you like having fun. For instance, I only work for 7-8 months in a year, the remaining months are for vacation or learning a new skill in a new environment.

Please don't be depressed. Before the industrial age, people were working from home. In fact, working outside the home started in the 19th century. What you need is social gathering, change of environment once in a while and a trust worthy significant partner.

I'm even thinking whether we should get an estate specifically for freelancers in lagos. Perhaps that could help. I will work out the cost when I have time and see if people will be interested.
hmmn .. so happy someone is here who feels same ..honestly the estate thing is great idea .. I’ve always wished for such avenue too .. I stay in an apartment of three bedroom all alone .. tho built by parents but they don’t stay here with me .. once had a ride with a grown man last year .. and really felt pity as he begins to share his ordeal of loneliness.. he is not even a home worker .. but he said the loneliness feeling that comes after coming from work everyday really makes him just want to end it all .. in my mind I was like what should people who stay home full time do.. really how do housewives even cope ?

The problem lies on you not going out at all, working from home can be a fun, if you plan your day well, you dont have to work 247, you can as well in the evening, go out to chill or go for a walk.

Anyway working from home isnt for everyone or maybe, you are comparing your life with those going to office everday.

thanks now I get .. I will really work on that

Once you think there’s a problem, there will always be a problem. It’s all in your head. All the sadness and loneliness. Everything.

Surprised OP can’t even come up with a simple task of enjoying himself especially since he said he has cash. There are like a zillion places to go from time to time. You can even find public places to work.

Dunno why people just say careless words like suicide over nothing.

i never said I’m flowing in cash .. but I earn what an average full time workers would earn in a month (around 90k) though doing everything to make things better

I feel you. If u make good money, then u may need to pay for a co-working space, u have in yaba & lekki, so you can get out of the house once in a while. Or pick a day to go to a nice restaurant for lunch like jevinik. Or get a girlfriend that would be visiting u. In short the temptations to hookup is usually great, if u are on Badoo, becos of loneliness u will just be spending money on f***king runs babes anyhow, seriously.
Travelling wud be nice, go to a state u've Neva been, book a hotel & work from there...as long as the money is there u can't be lonely. U can create or buy fun. Think ing of suicide should only be when u have 1k in ur account and ur rent is about to expire......
you seem to know it all.. thanks for dropping by

Do you want your internet home job to also give you a girlfriend? Do you want your IHJ to print out friends for you? If the answer is yes, then I have bad news for you.

I'm sure you don't work 24hrs a day. Humans alwsys need something to blame; you noticed how you searched for people in similar sitation as you rather than search for people that have solved/balanced the situatiob you're in? That's just one example.
I’m in a relationship.. though distance exists.. but we see maybe two months or more

Crime / I Got Married to Him at Age 17 Because of My Poor Background, Evans Wife Reveals by naijablood: 3:16pm On Jun 17, 2017
…I didn’t know he was into crime
…He took part in our daily prayers and always prayed Psalm 23
…His wealth should be sold off and given to his victims
…I didn’t know he was this rich, the highest he gave to me was N200,000
…Please, forgive him for the sake of myself and the children

The call was a surprise. And in the words of our Crime Editor, Emma Nnadozie “it was shocking but revealing and even pathetic.” The caller had said “hold on for Evans’ wife.” The female voice quickly pleaded to Mr. Nnadozie to call her back as she did not have enough credit. Nnadozie returned the call from Ghana and the caller told her story. Excerpts:

My name is Uchenna Precious Onwuamadike, the wife of the Chikwudubem Onwuamadike who you call Evans. I am 31 years old. I got married to Evans at the age of 17 at Oraifite, Anambra state in 2004.
He met me while I was coming back from lesson as a student of All Saints Secondary School, Oraifite and I was in class 6 going to take my West African Examination. After we met, I agreed to go with him because of my poor background.
He told me his father married three wives when he was six years old and threw his mother out of his house. He said that one of the wives influenced his father to drive them out of his house also and they were forced to stay with outsiders. Evans was taken to his grandmother who trained him. He told me his father accused the mother of being adulterous before driving her out of his house.
Our marriage is blessed with five children. Our first issue is 12 years plus and her name us Udochukwu. After we got married, he said I should stay with his mother in his village at Akanmiri, Umudim, Nnewi to teach me how to be a good housewife. I was there for three years before he took me to Lagos. We were living at Satellite town in 2006 and after one year, he relocated us back to the village because he could not pay house rent.
While in the village, he normally came to see us. We spent three years in the village and relocated to Ghana. On our way to Ghana, we passed through Lagos and stayed at Benny Hotels in Festac where we spent two days before travelling to Ghana.
He spent a month with us in Ghana before coming back to Lagos. I was pregnant with our fourth child in 2010 when he left for Nigeria to come back in two months time. After I gave birth, he came back four months later and was able to clear the accumulated bills we kept for him because I borrowed money from friends to clear hospital bill. When he came back, he complained bitterly that things were rough for him in Nigeria and that customs seized his goods.
I was not aware that he was into kidnapping and all the criminal acts he is being associated with now. All I know about his business is that he was into haulage, buying engine and spare parts for trucks and imports exhaust pipes. That was what he told me. The reason he kept me in Ghana was because he said our children should get quality education.
I have spent six years here and after I stopped hearing from him, I called and complained bitterly but he said I should stay for some time. I then called his friend, Okechukwu, who now lives in China. He told me that he has not been seeing him and that he spends most of his time with a girlfriend in Festac. When I called him to complain, he was angry with me and warned that I should stop listening to gossip. He said that If I should return, I should go to his younger brother’s house in Lagos until he is ready to get accommodation for us. The brother was formally living in Lagos but he is in Brazil now. So, when it was impossible to pay my children’s school fees, I packed my bags and baggage and came back to Lagos with our children.
We stayed at his brother’s house at Agric, close to Trade Fair until he took us to a house in Magodo where he claimed he owed rent pending the completion of his own house there. We have spent just one year in that house in Magodo. I have no idea of the type of business he was into but he told me that his friends overseas used to buy phones and jewelries for him.
While in Lagos, i was idle and I pressured him to find something for me to do and he promised to do that. Several times, I asked him to take me to his office but he said they move from place to place to offload goods in haulage business and share profits. I can’t remember having any visitor in our house. It is only the agent called Sunny that helped us to pack into our house that I know. At times, artisans come to do one repair or the other, that’s all.
I don’t know any of his friends and if we were invited to parties, he would not allow us to attend. He told me that he has no friends and that he hates associating with people. I was always indoors because he warned me to beware of Lagos women that they are wayward.
I was staying indoors and it was only when I was sick that he took me to a hospital in Ikeja. I always have BP and it makes weak. We went back to Ghana on the 6th of this month and he promised to join us in no distant time. On the 9th, I called him to know when he would be coming and even the youngest of our children was crying, begging him to come as soon as possible and he promised to come. In the afternoon, I called but he was not picking.
