The first step to be taken is for the phone user to be sure that the phone can synchronize wit pc for internet services & ph0ne gallery, or phone gallery only . ,because s0me ph0nes DON'T WORK WIT PC SUITE and were n0t designed to synchr0nize wit pc for packet data transfer services

Hows this a problem? I browse conveniently in d comfort of my room evryday with my laptop using my phone. i think d main issue has got to do with the configurations and settings on d network and d phone. To me these are the basic things.

saw this topic n since i use nokia pc suite decided 2 share this info wit u guys
1st of all u can't browse on yr pc wit your nokia phone if pc does not recognise your phone or installs d modem for that phone even if it connnects wit d phone
To configure your phone as a modem if not recognized automatically:
- Go to CONTROL PANEL click on PHONE AND MODEM OPTIONS
- click on MODEMS and then ADD
- click "Don't detect my modem; I will select from a list" and then NEXT
- From the manufacturer list select NOKIA then the appropriate phone model
- Select a PORT then click NEXT
- An interphase showing successful installation comes up; click on FINISH
- Restart the system and connect your phone to your computer wit the pc suite
- Connect to the internet by clicking on the icon on the pc suite

It should connect using the modem driver installed for your phone
Well i hope this my small contribution helps
Cheers Wink Wink

hi there
Have u used another phone to connct to d pc suite before? if yes u may have 2 remove any phone modem installed leaving that of d phone u want 2 use
or configure d settings manually by clicking on SETTINGS on d pc suite internet connection interphase and follow d instructions
OR u can just reinstal d software Wink Wink,  in doing this its prefarable  to download d pc suite app 4 exact phone model frm d official site (its free of charge)
D new pc suite has a cool look Wink Wink Wink would have attached d setup file but too large

Info just because of u, i'l make this contribution.
After u have instald al d neccesary drivers and your pc suite recognices your phone. Go to control panel - internet options. Highlite the phone modem then click settings. A new dialog box appears, unclick the two check boxes on top. There two check boxes below too. Click on both of them then type in celtels Ip: 172.18.254.5 and port nó 8080. Also type the user name and pasword. Mms . Then ok.reconect and u are done. Note that u also to have to type your access point in the pc suite. And make sure u named your access point on your phone 2. For s40 fones go to settings - connectivity - gprs or packet data. For symbian fones go to tools-settings-connections-access point.
Hope this works for you.because it does 4 me.
