Man Utd Accepts Real's £80m Bid For Ronaldo
« on: June 11, 2009, 09:58 AM »

I think this deserves a thread on its own. The mods know best though. . .

Ronaldo set to become the most expensive player in history.

After spending 6 years at United, Ronaldo will play for Real next season.

Not a bad deal at all. No single player can continue to hold us ransom every post season. Not when there are 80 million reasons why he should sold. I hope he does well in Madrid. It'll be a shame to waste that much money Smiley. We won't say no definitely. I pray we get Ribery. Otherwise Valencia would have to do.

Man UTD don Hammer

Akin
I think this is an opportunity for us to see if Nani can develop
You can remember RVN gave to CR7 to blossom. . . . . . Or is Valencia a better player?

I don't think i want Ribery. . . . . i think he is over-hyped!!

I also think this deal will make Tevez have a re-think about leaving given that he knows this will assure him of a first team place!!

That's an excellent deal! but am still a lil bit sad cuz i cant see either Nani or Valencia filling that space. If i were  SAF, i would spent the doe this way.

Villa = 40m

Ashely Young = 20m

A very good holding MD = 20m

You dont directly replace great players. All you need to do is strenghten the
team in other areas.

I have received 2 text messages from My manc mates about this.
So CR7 is leaving???
Hmmmnnnnn
The mancs will find it difficult to REPLACE him.
Tevez is more or less gone also
and there really isn't quality players out there that can replace them

It wont happen like that

Even though United say the funds will be available to invest in the team

A sizeable chunk will be held back to service debts and reinforce overheads funding stream!

My two cents! Grin Tongue

Was anyone really expecting United to spend the 80 mill on new players?  nah!

Woah! Kaka, Ronaldo, Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Villa, Silva,. . . Aikaramba! I'm off to La Liga!

That's stating the obvious. Books will be balanced first and players like Giggs, Scholes and Neville need to be replaced.

My best bet remains on developing Nani and/or getting Valencia
I haven't been able to access the Valencia guy but i believe he will be worth

The only thing about Ronaldo is the money that will be lost on his merchandise.

I think the summer transfer funds have made itself available. . . . .i don't think we should spend more than 30m from this dough!!

I see Neville and Schole's staying too!

They're staying for one more season tops but let's face it, these trio have gone over the hill.

A midfield of Giggs, Scholes, Carrick , Park and Anderson isn't really ground-shaking, is it?

Perez has come with his madness again, anyway,Im happy for madrid, atleast they will be able to move beyond knock out stages of next season CL.
BARCA will send them packing in semifinal and defeat them both home and away in laliga.
inasmuch as our football academy keeps producing talented players,we dont need to be that extravagant to win treble next season.
MANU should not hesitate to let him go this time around,he has been over pampered.my son must learn how to play footie o!hear mony
