Yesssso its working everybody, but i observed it depends on your sim, not all sim has the gprs activated, i want you all to do something, check your sim code, mine has PHC, this means Port Harcourt, it is not gprs activated, my sisters own has LAG, which means lagos and i browsed with it all weekend. If your code is Lagos, then recharge and check your browsing.

There should be information from MTN in order to update customers.
If the SIM is with LAG code can it work anywhere?

For instance, Can my SIM with LAG code work in any of the MTN coverages?

Does the GPRS covers everywhere?

Give out the configuration. i know of the Circuit Switch Data CSD (GSM Data)
That I have been using to browse. The tariff is the same as making call. it is either per second or per minute charging.

About the MTN GPRS setting, in my girlfriend phone, though she use Motorola V (Something) Flip Phone and not camera, but it is GPRS enabled. We sent the word (SETTINGS)  to 4777, and you will receive a message welcoming you into MTN Sightz and Soundz. They would instruct you to save the setting and to send an MMS to your own phone first so as to enable you receive MMS in future. And as am typing, the service is free.

She has downloaded some ringtones and Pictures. And I myself has also check my box from the phone and it was ok.

Please help us beg Vmobile to follow trait.

Vmobile are currently working on their own gprs.

Have u heard about Voffice: A means of using your sim card to browse.

I don't have much information yet but i read in one of their article recently. I will pass the information across as soon as i get it.

all sagem phones read the presence of gprs services, wether on your own network or not.mtn is stricktly 2g, and can never have gprs wihtout upgrading to 2.5g like glo.

yanky man, out of these 3 networks in terms of mobile internet. the best is MTN while the worst is (***). u know why?  MTN is 24hours free. but glo, u might be browsing, fine, your credit does not go immediately, after it shows N0.00 maybe if you stayed there for long. someone would think its all over. the next time, you recharge your glo line lets say with N500 and the next thing you see is N85.20 course someone you would be suprised on seeing that. so what i'l say is that
I pray that others should wake up and and be like MTN so that we all can enjoy it.

yes, browsing with MTN SIM  card on your PC is true, but pending on your sim card which even MTN does`nt know the course and the code problem b`because I have 2 mtn sim with the code ABJ which is abuja but one of them is working and the other does`nt work but my observation is that it is only the the 2G sim card that is working and the 2.5G sim does`nt work now but they were all working initiacially when MTN started the GPRS service so therefore there is no GPRS SERVICE available except WAP SERVICE which is suitable for 2G SIM, so for those of you that are lucky having the GPRS service, here is the setting on your computer operating with window XP.
Go to control panel and click NETWORK AND INTERNET CONNECTION
2.CLICK NETWORK CONNECTIONS
3.CLICK CREATE A NEW CONNECTION
4.A WINDOW WIZARD WILL SHOW THEN CLICK NEXT
5.CHOOSE CONNECT TO THE INTERNET THEN CLICK NEXT
6.CHOOSE SET UP MY CONNECTION MANUALLY THEN CLICK NEXT
7.CHOOSE CONNECT USING A DIAL-UP THEN CLICK NEXT
8.ISP NAME : TYPE ANY NAME FOR THIS CONNECTION (eg  mtn access)
9.PHONE NUMBER:*99# (THEN CLICK NEXT)
10.USER NAME:web PASSWORD:web CONFIRM PASSWORD: web (click next)
11.thick add shortcut to my desktop then click finish
12. A CONNECTION WINDOW WILL APPEAR THEN CLICK DIAL AND YOU CONNECTED AND FEEL FREE TO BROWSE THE WEB AS IT IS FREE FOR NOW. FOR MORE INFORMATION CALL ME ON 08052609880
