Who's The World's Best Football Coach?
« on: September 29, 2007, 04:38 PM »

He signs young, undiscovered tallent.

He grooms them to become world-class players.

He has built (arguably) the world's best (and youngest) club starting 11 and has one of the most attractive reserve benches.

Accomplished so much with limited financial resources.

Cult-like fan-base of his club.

World's most entertaining style of football.

Coach of the second most profitable club in europe.

The one and only Arsene Wenger.

Who do you think is the best football coach?

Nobody but General Ottmar Hitzfeld. The records speak for him.
How many coaches have won 2 champions league in 2 diffrent clubs within a space of four years.

1984-88  FC Aarau 1985 - Swiss Cup
1988-91  Grasshopper Club Zürich 1989 - Swiss Cup
1990 - Swiss Cup
1990 - Championship
1991 - Championship

 Borussia Dortmund
1995 - Championship
1996 - Championship
1997 - UEFA Champions League

1998-04  FC Bayern Munich
 1999 - Championship
2000 - German Cup
2000 - Championship
2001 - Championship
2001 - UEFA Champions League
2001 - Intercontinental Cup
2003 - German Cup
2003 - Championship

1997 - "World Coach of the Year"
2001 - "World Coach of the Year

Compare any coach record to this It would surely pale.

Sometimes I feel opponents even clap for Wenger boys as they play the most beautiful football in the world.

Arsene Wenger believes in the basics and with the basics you get to see soccer at its best.

@ mascus

The thread says best coach not the coach with most trophies. If Arsene had half the money Jose had he would have won the quadruple and even helped England win the world cup as a part time coach

@ daviddylan

They were there for the last two trophyless seasons!!!!

Tell us where Benitez won the champions league twice with 2 different clubs. I'm dieing to know
@Arsenal peeps
Wenger has been able to groom youngsters blah blah blah.
He has not won anything in europe Shocked Shocked (Only domestic titles.7 in number) You don't want to know what the other coaches have? do you?
@Dayokanu
Hitzfield,Ancellotii, Capello,Benitez,Maurinho,Fergie, etc are very good coaches. Maybe Hitzfield and Ancellotti are the best
