Music/Radio / Re: Top Seven Video Directors In Nigeria by odzey(m): 10:41pm On Jul 20, 2014
mikron: Where is chopstix in ur list?

Chopstix is a music producer, just like Don-Jazzy, Selebobo, Shizzy, Pheelz, Del-B, and the likes. A music producer and a music video director is not the same.
Music/Radio / Re: Top Seven Video Directors In Nigeria by odzey(m): 8:11pm On Jul 20, 2014
Woah. Such a comprehensive list. But I believe the list is not actually complete, because there is no Kemi Adetiba in it. The babe is damn good, but she's just under-rated. Watching any of her music videos is always just like I'm watching a short film. She has never failed to deliver. I can't forget the Banky W's Lagos Party remix video in a hurry and also Bez's Say and More You video, or recently, Olamide's Sitting On The Throne and Anifowose video. Those music videos are a classic. I also think Aje Filmworks and Adasa-Cookey should have been on that list, but not everyone can be on the list. Nobody can compete that number one position with Clarence Peters. By the way, Godfather Productions is a South-African music video director.

missberrypop5: hmmm, nope. We dated for 3yrs+ then realized we were not for each other.

That's a very long time. I'm sure u've learnt some things from the relationship which might help you in your next one. I'm sure you would even have moved on by now... "winks"

missberrypop5: lol, ok. I meet mine on 2go, we were in the same crew then, i enjoyed chatting with him, he has a nice character from d way chats. But the problem i come get with this my guy be say, he no deh upload him pics. I asked him to but he keeps saying he will. We exchanged numbers, and we spoke almost everyday. He asked if i can date him, and i agreed. We decided to meet. Wow, we did and he was ugly. To be sincere i was disappointed at 1st but i wouldn't want him to feel that, so i acted like everything was ok. So we hanged out and believe me, he was really fun to be with. The crazy type of dude i have always wanted. He was funny and lively, with a great sense of humour. Then i noticed he had beautiful brown eyes that suits his dark skin which he usually blinks when he smiled. He brought out the me in me and i loved him for that. So i thought, his kinda personality is rare, fvck looks. I love this dude. And we continued dating. It lasted more than i thought.

Woah. Its really nice of you to look beyond his looks. Most ladies and guys don't realize that there is more to someone than just his or her looks. I hope you and the guy are still together.

Woah. I had so much fun and laughs reading through all the pages of this thread. I almost didn't want to comment initially but I think doing that won't be a bad idea. I just hope my comment is not coming in late.
Well, I have seen it all. The good, the bad and the ugly. I've had quite a few blind dates; 2go, Eskimi, Facebook and most recently WeChat. On Nairaland, just one, I'm sure she would have read this thread, and she's been a very good friend of mine since we've known each other. In fact, she's actually my best friend, even though she probably doesn't know that yet. Thanks for always being there for me, S.
Back to my blind dates. I'm just gonna share the one I experienced recently. This happened some weeks back when I was in Abeokuta. I actually met her on WeChat, we've been chatting for some weeks, and she's pretty okay, at least I saw her pictures and she was exactly what I expected when I eventually met her. I wasn't disappointed at her apperance, the disappointment was at something else. On the day we were to meet, I called her and she gave me a description to drop at a particular eatery around Oke-Ilewo in Abeokuta, for those that are familiar with the Rock City. I gave her a call when I got there, waited for about 15 minutes before she showed up. On seeing her, she asked that we enter the eatery, we were still having a little discussion before going in when I heard voices behind me, nd lo and behold, I looked back and saw two of her friends. I just smiled. She introduced me to them and then said we should go in. I simply playfully told her that we should do this later in d evenin that I had to go and pick ma brother from his school and that I wasn't having much cash on me, even though there was an ATM machine beside the eatery. Just had to make up an excuse so as to escape her "mission-to-chop-ma-money". As I was about leaving, one of her friends then called me back and said hope I wasn't angry that I couldn't even tell her that I was leaving already, In my mind, I was like "wetin concern me with u, na me bring u cum here" but I just politely told her that I had things to do that I'm gonna call her friend later in the evening nd re-schedule another meeting. The look on her face as I was leaving made me to realize that she knew already that she won't be seeing or hearing from me again and I didn't disappoint her.
Let me just stop here, the others will have to be a story for another day.

speedyboi: Another question! About movie soundtrack again! tongue

"See...with you life is beautiful,
with you life is wonderful,
with, you...I feel like it could never be better than this...ah!

With you all is magical,
with you.....supernatural,
with, you.....I feel like heaven is smiling down on me
..................."

In which 2012 movie was this soundtrack used? And who sang it? tongue tongue tongue tongue

What is so difficult in movie soundtracks?

I hope its not too late for me to answer this question, I just came across this thread now. Well, the movie is Kunle Afolayan's third movie, Phone Swap and Truth sang the soundtrack.

Please, who knows if The Awakening and Hoodrush is out on dvd? I've actually seen Hoodrush at the cinema twice, but I really need to have that movie at my movie library. Or is there anyone that has the "amaa consideration" version of these movies? I really need them.

The hype about that movie was just too much, I really expected more from it. I don't think am gonna watch any of Obi Emelonye's movies again, even The Mirror Boy, mtchewww. I just wasted #500 to buy the dvd of the movie. I can't watch any of those movies twice. The guy and all his movies are just overrated. The Meeting and Hoodrush are still my best Nolloywood movies so far. I actually went to the cinema twice to see Hoodrush. That movie make sense die. When will the movie be out on dvd?

Celebrities / Re: Meet The 10 Hottest Upcoming Nollywood Actresses Ruling The Industry by odzey(m): 1:14am On Nov 09, 2013
In my own opinion, I don't think Halima Abubakar is an upcoming actress, though I agree she's hot but she's been long in the business. Biodun Okeowo, I don't even think she should be on this list, my opinion though. Chelsea Eze, that babe is fine and she can act. I particularly love her acting in Hoodrush. She's my new best Nollywood actress.

luluosas:
I believe you jor. The second to the last subscription I did on MTN BIS before they blocked their BIS on Android devices is a pointer to this. Imagine me that does not download anything, apart from visiting nairaland, Facebook, Google+ and blog on my phone, was disconnected within 3 weeks, with the excuse that I have exhausted my fair data usage, even though you can't see your data balance in the first place.

No mind mtn, yeye network. That's why they won't allow you to know your remaining data. All they will be saying is "fair data usage" as if na only them understand english. Can't they just give a specific data cap like other networks? I once subscribed for MTN BIS and was disconnected after a week also, and the most annoying thing is that you can't re-subscribe until after the one month has expired. I don't even know where that mtn line is again, I just know that I've thrown it somewhere. And before you MTN fans start yabbing me, mtn is actually my main line but for bb subscription, its a no no for me. Etisalat all the way.

Jeffy1206: I no blame you at all...mtn the worst? Legally or illegally they're the cheapest. Which 250mb plan are you talking about self?

Well, I guess you don't use mtn network on your bb. What am saying is that mtn 1k monthly bb suscription has a data cap of 250mb. But if u don't believe me, you can call mtn customer care to confirm, or better still ask people around, you can even ask Nairalanders sef.
