Hello friends, pls i need to ask some advice from the great men and fellow ladies of this house, i got appointment with FCSC last 4 months and got posted to OHCSF as programme analyst, now we are about to get posted again as pool officers by the OHCSF. Please which MDA the you think will be best for a programme analyst to be posted also the you advice one to look for a transfer from Abuja to state offices? Cos i know life will not be easy in Abuja for a starters like me. So is it a good decision to be transfer to a state office than to stay in the headquarters. Thank you inadvance friends.
Cc mohisan Hussein240 KKKP bboj etc
I was faced with this same choice months back though at a different agency, Abuja or state offices. I chose Abuja. HQ might have it's ups and downs at inception but it's still the best in the long run.

Found the gigantic snake in my backyard trying to crawl it way inside the nearby bush, so sluggish with it movement and justice was made to it in no time. This kind of snake shouldn't just bite you because it can be very lethal as we have alot of children in the environment.
a python is a constrictor, should have left the snake to digest it's meal in peace!

Wonderful development. We think because we paid for it, we own it, No, the FG owns it, they're just loaning us the travel document for temporary moving around.

About three years ago. It was a bitter winter and I was dining at a restaurant around 11 pm in the night. It was very cold and if I remember correctly, it was -35 degrees Celsius below freezing point and if you pee outside, it freezes before hitting the ground. cold.

The restaurant was filled with everyone white except myself. I looked behind me and it was crowded with delivery drivers working for the delivery app, Skip the Dishes, waiting to pick up food orders. Nine delivery drivers and all black guys mostly Nigerian looking.

Imagine what it means to have to drive constantly in the bitter cold to deliver food when most people are either sleeping or enjoying themselves in a warm restaurant.

Some of these guys are even delivering with brand new SUVs purchased on credits and after a deeper dive, I came to realize our people here live mostly above their means to impress fellow Nigerians. They buy houses or cars they cannot afford and now have to work three jobs and drive on the side to maintain their fake lifestyles.

This is not a healthy way to live guys, learn to relax and enjoy yourself once in a while, do not live above your means and the fact that you are pre-authorized for that big mortgage, loan, or line of credit does not mean you have to accept.

Learn to live your life without trying to please or impress anyone and occasionally, take time off to have fun and enjoy yourself, take vacations.
Very apt. Even in Naija, people do things just to impress others, because of what people will say! A man will decide he needs three kids all because children are a blessing from God and his friends have four each.

Life has phases, there is always a starting point, having submitted CV in several organisations with few call up and no job offer yet, I decide to give Okada Business a try. And if you reside in Massaka, Nasarawa State. And stays around Akwanga, Gwandala, Luvu, Area 1, Zone 5, Zone 4, Up-market etc do well to patronise me.

You can as well tell us how you started, it would mean a whole lot to us at this stage of life.

I like that you're getting busy, but try to map out an exit plan as you're starting! Wish you luck.

Fill in your details on the webpage.

Travel / Re: Some Questions About Jos. by olamilarks(m): 10:45am On Jul 06
olamilarks:
Hi everyone!
I'm planning a trip to Jos for one weekend and I would like to ask some questions regarding the city.
1. Cost of Bus/Sienna transportation from Abuja?
2. Cost of accommodation for two nights? I'm looking at a budget hotel around University of Jos.
3. Recommended sights to see while in Jos?
4. General knowledge regarding personal safety while visiting Jos!
Thank you!

1. Bus/Sienna from Nyanya Park was for 6k. Front seat passenger, had to share with a guy for the four hour trip. Back was strained.
2. Got accommodation at Char-Rah Lodge for 15k for 2 Nights, 3 days.
3. Didn't see any sights lol. Only visited a QSR for food around Rantiya.
4. On the way out, while heading towards the park, I was profiled by men of the NPF as a Yahoo boy and after I IDed myself, he was still super rude. He was slapping the keke driver repeatedly for not having papers and offering a bribe. He later came to tell us to take another keke after several minutes delay. Aside this not much personal safety issues on my last trip to Jos. Looking forward to visiting again soon!
Thanks everyone for the tips, they were super helpful!

Food / Re: Look At The Ram We Bought For 110k by olamilarks(m): 1:45pm On Jun 15
fyzaila:
My brother who decided to start ileya this year as his gratitude to God for his upliftment in his life. The young bachelor have been talking about his intentions for ileya as eid kabiir draw closer. Well, he was advised to wait till a day or 2 days before eid to go buy the ram as the prices he got from different ram market survey is not encouraging at all. Prices ranges from 80k upwards. The ram 🐏 you see below 100k looks as if it was forcefully weaned off his mum's breast and brought to the market. So discouraging 😞

So very early in the morning today he decided he wants to buy the ram today and i offered to accompany him. We got to a particular ram display and decided to try our luck. After much back and forth dragging of price we finally paid 110k + 5k feeding money for this one.

Nigeria 🇳🇬 to even do basic worship again not easy. May God see us through
Next year, inshallah I will start udhiya!!

Hi everyone, thanks for your input. I did visit Jos like I planned. Here's the cost implications and summary of my trip:
- Boarded a minivan at Nyanya park at 1300hrs for ₦6,000.
- Arrived Jos at 1800hrs.
- Keke to final destination around State low cost was around ₦250
- Hotel cost was about ₦15,000 for two nights.
- Later at night, I went out to buy food at a QSR close by. For me, it was really cold that night, the locals said December period is much more brutal. Warm clothing is quite expensive in Jos, I'd advise you purchase your warm clothing wherever you're coming from.
- Spent most of my time indoors, hell, the electricity was almost 24hrs.
- Left Jos at 0900hrs on Sunday, same ₦6000 park to Abuja in a Ford minivan.
Total cost implications: ₦50,000 or more.
