Education / Re: Private Universities Floated By Nigerian Politicians (Full List) by olamilarks(m): 5:57pm On Nov 28, 2023
Political class that deliberately ruined our Public schools and floated private schools to rob us again. I'm sure some people on this thread will be here hailing the men that stole their dinner!

They should have been more classier like Emirates and Qatar airways that uses Airbus 380 and Boeing 777

Classic and luxury plus more space

The government can afford that
I agree. Though I must commend them since they're backed by a Nigerian state government and their service is top notch. Last time I flew with them, Air peace and Arik just dey cancel/postpone people flight and Ibom air stuck to schedule, very un-Nigerian.

Kai! I experienced my share of parking space wars while living in Lagos. It could get nasty really fast. People will bring mortars and pestle to claim parking space for cars that won't arrive in 7hours.

If you think your day sucked, imagine you're this guy I just quoted — who thinks he's attacking my message but ends up saying the same thing I've been saying...

I've never been a "one Nigeria" supporter since I was 15!
Hello Bro, still in Abuja? Please drop your number! Thank you!

Honestly don't know what to title this thread.

Well, I never thought I'd japa any time soon from this country until recently.

The plan to japa was presented to me by my cousin, who will sponsor the entire thing but it has to be an affordable university < €10,000 for fees

Now, I have been trying to get Information on where one can go study for cheaps in Europe with less stringent visa application process.

Most the information/thread on Nairaland are either old or abandoned.

Please, I'd appreciate any information, especially from those who recently travelled or are in the process of travelling.

PS: UK is totally out of it.
I have a Bsc. Statistics - Second Class Lower
And looking to do a Master's in Data Science/Analytics
Just saw a tiktok video about Italy, you can research studying in Italy.

I stopped working on QA probably early 2020. It was not worth it. I'm currently an editor on GoTranscript. Basically Proofreader/QA/Rater. Right now though GoTranscript are not recruiting for English language.
Okay. You've gathered a wealth of experience in the transcription field so your position is rightly earned. It's sad they're not hiring for English speakers at the moment, hope they do soon! Mouth dry for naija o!

Funny you.

No country has that "Goto university to land a good Job" mentality like the Indians or Asians in general.... If you're a fan of their movies you'd know.

Go and watch 3 idiots for example
Perhaps that's the legacy the Europeans gave to their colonial subjects the world over.

Solving a need was the motivation. I started programming because I had a friend who could play computer games when I couldn't even get on a computer. I'm talking Carmen San Diego on a PC in 1993. Decided I will learn programming and write my own game to play. And 30 years after, money still isn't the motivation
I always look forward to your responses.

Una go just dey worry about techs lol.

Build products!! Think like a business man. Build something people will pay you to use. Even if it’s to build and put ads on it.

If you want to work for big tech companies fine, but not everyone gets such opportunities.

A junior mobile developer with couple of meaningful and bug-free apps earn close if not even more than a bank manager just from Adverts. Lol Poverty no dey tire una?
Word! This is why I respect Indians. Be like the education they gave Nigerians is geared towards getting a job!
