President Donald Trump is a born again Christian. He is an example to all born again Christians that they can go into politics and make a difference. OP, President Donald Trump is a good and positive example that a born again Christian can be involved in active politics. Other examples are:

Secretary Mike Pompeo and Dr Ben Carson

Strong Christian men doing the Lord's work in the highest echelons of political power
THE SEAT OF A PRESIDENT IS MADE FOR OCCULTIC PEOPLE ONLY.that's what the Blessed Holy Spirit told me when I want to contest for this country presidency, in other words it simply means that if you want to be a president then you must join the occult.

Must we leave our destiny to be determined by all these rogues and thieves who steal ballot boxes to win by all means..don't you know why they are doing everything possible to rule over others...? They are after the resources and not after our welfare ..We must dare the impossible and break their ranks to make a change in the system

Donald Trump born again Christian, has the admission criteria fallen to that level?

What would Jesus say? “The woman you are currently with is not thy wife, for your wife is still alive” A man who is currently and actively cheating on his wife while she still alive with a third lady and even admitted publicly that, he does not confess sins, because he does not sin...can you become a Christian without the confession of your sins, asking for a friend.

A serial liar and a serial womanizer is born again now, I have to check what book of the Bible where that is written.

ANY BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN THAT GOES INTO POLITICS WILL COME OUT CROOKED. TRUE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS HAVE A KINGDOM AND THATS THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND NOT THAT OF THIS WORLD THAT IS OF SATAN.

Daniel was in politics na and was an excellent ruler..if Christians don't engage in politics sinners will continue to go in there and bring up satanic policies to fight Christians.

kroxkontry:
Let me reference Jesus as a role model why Christian are not suppose to be involved in politics:

PICTURE a scene from the year 32 C.E. It is late in the day. Jesus, the foretold Messiah, has already won great renown for healing the sick and even resurrecting the dead. Today, he has awed a crowd of thousands by performing powerful signs and by sharing teachings of God. Now he divides the hungry people into smaller groups. He prays to God and miraculously feeds them all. Then, to avoid waste, he collects the leftovers. How do the people react?—John 6:1-13.

Well, after seeing Jesus’ miracles and his skillful leadership in managing the crowds and caring for their needs, the people conclude that Jesus would be a perfect king. (John 6:14) Their response is not surprising. Remember that they were desperate for a good, effective ruler; their beloved homeland was under the oppressive rule of a foreign power. So they put direct pressure on Jesus to join in the political process. With that background in mind, consider his reaction.

“Jesus, knowing they were about to come and seize him to make him king, withdrew again into the mountain all alone,” says John 6:15. Jesus’ stand could hardly have been more decisive. He resolutely refused to get involved in the politics of his homeland. His stand never changed. He said that his followers were to take the same position. (John 17:16) Why did he take this stand?

Why Did Jesus Choose Neutrality?

Jesus’ neutrality regarding the politics of this world was well-grounded in Scriptural principles. Consider just two.

1.
“Man has dominated man to his injury.”

(Ecclesiastes 8:9) That is how the Bible sums up the history of human rule. Remember, Jesus existed as a spirit in heaven long before he came to earth as a man. (John 17:5) He thus knew that man, however well-meaning, lacks the ability to care properly for the needs of billions of people; nor was he created by God to do so. (Jeremiah 10:23) Jesus knew that the solution to mankind’s problems lay elsewhere—not in human governments.

2
“The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” (1 John 5:19)

Do you find that statement startling? Many do. They think of sincere people who get involved in government because they want to make the world a better, safer place. Try as they might, though, even the most sincere rulers cannot overcome the influence of the one whom Jesus called “the ruler of this world.” (John 12:31; 14:30) That is why Jesus said to one worldly politician: “My kingdom is no part of this world.” (John 18:36) Jesus was the prospective King of God’s heavenly government. Had Jesus mixed in politics, he would have sacrificed his loyalty to his Father’s government.

Did Jesus teach, then, that his followers have no obligation to earthly governments? On the contrary, he taught them how to find the right balance between their responsibilities toward God and their obligations toward secular governments.

Jesus Respected Governmental Authority
You are JW yes?

of course the best people to occupy leadership position are the refined Christian who will not disgrace the church for anything the problem to Nigeria politics is because the true Christian left the it a long time ago. no doubt about it that it might be difficult for a true Christian to survive in it but people still survive it

Or

We should just remain indifferent and hope for the best ??

So born again Christians should allow useless worshippers of idols to destroy this nation. I never supported pastor ize because they forcefully removed obaseki.

If you don't involve yourself...Who go do am? That's why certain nonentities are ruling us. If you don't want to be like Daniel, then expect someone horrible to influence the affairs of your nation for unrighteousness.

The Church is yet to produce a coveted crop of leaders for this nation. But let's wait.

*Why sometimes I'm not impressed with Christians is even what they do at the office level. If the heart is not right, the affairs of the nation can't be. Forget their religious title or inclination.

Some are worse than those who are yet to know Christ (not that the Christians know Christ anyway, coz if they do, we would have known that they had been with Jesus), and we also have those who are shining light (but these ones are rarely interested in those positions).

Yes, a Christian can join politics and start engaging his or her community. God won't come down to turn it around when He has men dedicated to His course who can do it. The affairs of the earth He has given to the children of men.

The moment you become born again and are ushered into the Kingdom of God, you are no longer or this world and its politics. So, it no longer matters to you who is in charge or boss over that because then you attention should switch over to obeying the Law of the Kingdom of God, leaving behind that which pertains to this world. undecided

Yes, of course. Everyone should take active part in determining who governs us, since we are practicing democracy - and that would involved born again Christians making themselves available to both vote and be voted for. However, I must add this - those who believe that have the calling to lead others from the pulpit such Pastors, Prophets, and Preachers should concentrate in those callings and allow those in the pew to present themselves for elective purposes. Because even in the day of old God separated the office of prophets from those who took active governance of the people such prohet Samuel and king Saul, prophet Nathan and king David, prophet Elijah and king Ahab etc.
Wrong! Jesus Christ gave you the biggest clue when He declared that His Kingdom is not of this world. undecided

When a person becomes born-again, and gains entry into the Kingdom of God as a result, that persons focus is meant to shift from serving the laws and rules of this world as well as its politics, to serving only that which is of the Kingdom of God, and that is the Law as contained only in the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ. In His teachings are found no rules that pertain to serving this world's government and systems. undecided

Of course. I am a living example. I am a born-again Christian but I have mad plans to contest for a senatorial seat very soon. I will fight tooth and nail to see it come to pass.

I must loot mad money as well. I didn't come to this earth to just be a spectator.
Ist thing 1st, are you certain you are born-again & saved according to Jesus Christ's own teachings in John 3 vs 1 -21? Or is yours according to the doctrines of men? undecided

No one who is a part of the Kingdom of God, a kingdom that is not of this world, should continue to engage in the politics and authorities of this world... recall Jesus Christ made it clear that no one who belongs to Him can serve two masters. undecided

So , check your born-again status to be sure you are not wearing the fake badge that is born of the doctrines of men. And please choose to no longer live in disobedience of the commandments of Jesus Christ Christ. undecided

To become a part of the Kingdom of God, the following are 4 commands one must obey(in no particular order)...

*Must have a change of heart and life and be baptized in water (a step in the born-again process) - Matthew 3 vs 7-11
* Must believe Jesus Christ is the New Covenant agreement between God and individual man
* Must eat the body and drink the blood of Jesus Christ in order to be saved from the condemnation of sin(Death) gifted with eternal life instead
* Must be born of the Spirit(a step in the born-again process - note the Spirit here is not the Holy Spirit)

Complete all 4 steps to be sure you are truly a part of the Kingdom of God. You will receive from Him confirmation when you are indeed in His Kingdom. undecided

Granted being born-again does not mean one is no longer able to sin,but continuing in sin .I.e. disobedience of Jesus Christ's teachings and laws, after becoming born-again comes with an eternal consequence. Please choose instead to submit to and obey the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ. undecided

I believe Christians should run the world. They can do this on their knees to God or And by being actively involved. For a leader or leaders of a country to actively lead a country on the path of prosperity, they have to have a belief system that is geared towards improving the lives of others. Christians Definitely need to be proactive.
Christians , who are themselves called to be a part of a Kingdom that is not of this world, should run the world? How? When? undecided

When they are not busy serving God or getting themselves acquainted with being a part of a Kingdom that demands they abandon all their cares an worries in this world? undecided

1. John 17 vs 15 -18 does not repeal Jesus Christ's law to you regarding the serving of two masters. So long as you claim to be a born-again, you belong to the Kingdom of God and as such are bound to the Law that applies to the Kingdom of God only. Unless you chose to live in disobedience of God, something that many Christian do, choosing to live according to their own will and desire even after pursuing the Kingdom of God. undecided

Yes and no.
One thing Christians should know is that "world politics" is not easy. It's a different arena from the Christian arena. You only go into it as a Christian if you are empowered or "sent" by God. Not every Christian go into politics and return same. Go and ask... moreover we don't need Christians to be in politics for our country to develop. Japan for instance is not ruled by Christians, yet humanly speaking, they have a more organized and prosperous nation than ours .

We need godly, enlightened and principled Christians in the society at large to effect national change. Not necessarily having Christians as politicians. An unprincipled Christian may perform worse than a pagan.
Yes and No ke! Either you can or your cannot. Which one you pick depends on how well you Know the Truth of the God you claim to serve. undecided

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG FOR A BORN AGAIN ACTIVELY INVOLVES IN POLITICS..... JUST AS WE CAN ALL SEE IN NIGERIA, THE POLITICAL ENVIRON IS POROUS TO THE EDGE THAT U HAVE TO GET UR HAND DIRTY BEFORE GETTING A SEAT... BUT TRUST ME, ALL DIS HAPPENS BECAUSE THE SO CALLED CHRISTIAN DECIDED TO LEAVE THE SEAT AND LOOK AWAY WIC IS NOW ACTING LIKE A KARMA LAW NOW ATTACKING THEM....

PLEASE NIGERIA AND NIGERIANS HAVE SUFFERED ENOUGH LET CHRISTIANS ACTIVELY INVOLVE AND LET WE THE CHRISTIAN FOLLOWERS GET OUR VOTERS CARD TO VOTE THE GENIUE CANDIDATE INTO SEAT THIS IS D ONLY WAY WE CAN ALL SEE THE NIGERIA WE DREAM ABOUT....

GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND HAPPY SUNDAY
I am afraid there is everything wrong with the notion that a person who supposes himself a follower of Jesus Christ can pursue a career in world politics and this has to do with a lack of understanding of what ot means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. undecided

NO! NO!! NO!!!
Jesus said:
"No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot, serve God and mammon" Luke 16:13

Satan is the overall ruler of this world so all those in Politics needs to take permission from him before they're given portions to rule! Luke 4:6-7

That's why Jesus ran away from Politics {John 6:15} he asked his true followers to keep praying for God's Kingdom! Matthew 6:10

God bless you and may you have PEACE! smiley
