Nigeria is not a country where sensible people should lead. The space is just a wast of human resource.
the reason we are in this mess is because sensible people aren't leading us.

Imagine Wike carry machete to address a public, how do u expect the country to be better when we vote in people like that?

Focus more on SW pls...that region should be your first priority.
South West and South South should be priority for developmental projects for being the economic power house of Nigeria.

Niger Delta don't need that rail line for niw. We understand the yourubas game plan - to have reason not to develop a formidable and working deep sea port in that region.

1% of the funds proposed for that project can turn around port harcourt and calabar sea ports.

These people are strategically planning to make Lagos the starting point to every Nigerian economies.

Let every region have its own economic base and reliance. We can not always depend on Lagos. I dont support this project.

The same reasons why Lagos is over populated. Economic prosperous should not be dependent on any state or region.

Niger Delta should resist it and opt for two working deep sea port in that region and you will see the over dependence on Lagos will reduce.

Two working deep sea ports will boost economic activities in that region.

Please mention what Niger Delta region stands to benefit from Lagos if it has formidable deep sea ports?
You these ND with wrong insinuation, have you seen any SWesterners that against your wish in terms of deep sea ports, it is what we are praying for, because we want sanity to return to Lagos.

This is what you guys should have asked GEJ to do in your region as a president for solid 6yrs,what power did a VP has under the constitution to do such.

Penny wise, pound foolish. What’s wrong with the sea ports in Niger delta (Delta, Rivers, Calabar). Must we all depend on Lagos for survival. Why not channel the cost of building a railway in niger delta to developing the sea ports in the eastern region

And after imports are received at Niger Delta Ports, how will the imports get to Lagos, Ibadan, Ogun, e.t.c.? You want to use wheelbarrow to carry cars, equipments, machineries, even imported Oloshos from Port-Harcourt and Calabar to Lagos?

If you are not suffering from psychiatric disorders, then you would have asked your prodigal son Goatluck Jonaddaft why he did not make your sea ports to work instead of blaming the current useless and heartless terrorist hiding inside the Rock.

The hands of Jonathan and his Ibo pillars were withered and leprous they could not develop deep seaport for 6 years? They had their priority from 2010 to 2015.
This govt too has it's priorities since 2015, if you're not happy bring in another govt that will prioritize deep seaport.

How many people go to Apapa port daily compared to the number that will ride twice or more daily on a functional train service? I can't understand this type of myopic reasoning.

What of manufactured and agricultural products that can be exchanged between the states along the rail route and Lagos? What percentage of our internal trade which is bigger than imports need a deep seaport to thrive? What cost would be saved if goods produced in calabar can reach Benin or Lagos in a day instead of 5 days or a week by truck?

What of local tourism that will bring demand for hotels food and services that rail connection will enhance, deep seaport will be practically useless for tourism. Abeokuta is already making a killing from tourism within a few weeks the Lagos Ibadan rail started operations. Your opinion is very ignorant and myopic.

Pipe dream! Celebrating a project that has not even started. I wonder when they start and finish it given the fact that the present administration has barely two years to leave office.

Bros how have imports and internal trades been moving on around since Lagos has been the hub of imports.

We know how the country is structured not not favor the south south and south east politically and that is why i stoped blaming Jonathan after realizing that any project must must pass through the National Assembly which senators and Reps members out umbers the south south and south east put together.

Remember i never called you names or insulted you.
