This I noticed recently, like 5months now.
My Honda 2002 transmission works fine when the engine is cold. When d engine gets hot, I notice 5secs delay in transmission and also when changing gear either to drive or reverse.
Engr Gazzuz and others pls any idea of the possible problem b4 this mechanics enter me.

I was told I'll replace Engine coolant temperature sensor, Crankshaft position sensor, both oxygen sensors, ABS and Electronic Steering Sensors.

Please advice on costs and approach to repairs. Thank you

Your car is in limp mode. It’s crazy that all those sensors are having issues at the same time. Get an electrician to test them one by one and also check for continuity of their wires to the ecu before changing them.

Good evening sir GAZZUZZ, please i use a 2008 civic, i just noticed that whenever i switched on my ac my rpm drop and fluctuate, and sometimes the engine off and the throttle doesn't respond immediately i stepped on it from idle if the ac is on. please what could be the fault, below is the result of my bluetooth scanner i used.

My Toyota Matrix gear delay before changing when driving that mostly it’s difficult to accelerate and makes a lot of noise when forcing to do so. My mechanic says It’s not the gear since it changes but the wiring.

I had a discussion with someone about transmission oil change & he mentioned something that i felt i should bring here for knowledge sharing.

He said what most mechanic do wen changing transmission oil is to drain & probably loosen out d filter, clean with petrol, install back & refill with new oil.

He then mentioned that even wen u thought u had drained d entire oil, d torque converter still contains d old oil up to 4litres, that in d end, d old oil in d torque converter mixes with d new oil & it will appear you haven't done any oil change at all.

That there's a procedure for evacuating oil from d torque converter that most mechanic don't know.

How true is this my people, @gazzuz & other automobile veterans here.
