OML 143: Nigeria to Earn $600m Revenue in New NNPC, SEEPCO Gas Devt Deal Nigeria could potentially rake in between $500 million to $600 million in the latest gas development deal between the country’s national oil company, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Sterling Exploration and Energy Production Company, (SEEPCO), an Indian company. The NNPC and SEEPCO signed off on the agreement for the monetisation of Oil Mining Lease (OML) 143 in Abuja, a development the corporation says will help increase its footprints in the downstream gas market and boost the country’s revenue accruals from gas. The contract on the development and commercialisation of gas from OML 143, tucked in the deep forests of the Niger Delta, could also help reduce gas flaring in the country, NNPC added. SEEPCO is an Indian company, part of the Sandesara Group that ventured into Nigeria oil and gas market over a decade ago and says it is currently successfully producing crude oil in the Niger Delta region. 1 Like

This will give the Biafra agitation a leverage. Besides, I don't know how Igbos should sit around and their gas is piped to the North. The same north that hates our existence 4 Likes |

While we are happy to hear the news of Anambra being an oil producing state, THEN WHY THE BIGOTS AND SADISTS FROM THE SOUTH PROMISED FIRE AND WAR FOR MERE NEWS OF KOGI AND BAUCHI STATES BEING INCLUDED IN THE OIL PRODUCING STATES? Are you people not fantastically selfish and sadistic . This reminds me of an adage: "He who say others water would not boil, his own water would never get warm "! |

SirBlack999: We have been a bit unfortunate with carbon discoveries in Igboland. Oil was discovered few years towards independence and this made Nigeria very palatable for other sections of the country like the North and the West that had absolutely nothing significant then other than some moribund groundnut pyramids and austere Cocoa harvests. With the help of Zik who wanted a One Africa government, these groups found Nigeria attractive, Inspite of their disdain for their fellow countrymen. At the start of the war, these groups were able to negotiate with the imperialist Britain to unleash genocide in the East and take control of the oil resources. It has been going ever since. Now, with oil running out, and different parts of the country agitating for the break up of Nigeria, all of a sudden the government found gas in very high quantity in the East again. Now, the Buharis administration is desperately trying to tie eastern gas development to Western conglomerates through the Fulani, essentially making the gas deposits inn the East the property of Western companies managed by the Fulani oligarchs in Nigeria. Igbos seem to be a bit unaware of this and our fixation on trading seem to cause us to forget that with the gas in Igbo land, we can easily leapfrog above our peers, irrespective of the setbacks of the war.. imagine where oil in Nigeria was discovered say in 1980 or gas ten years from now.. Buhari is constructing the AKS pipeline that he claims will go to Europe from the heart of igboland. Most of the gas will come from Imo state and Abia state. I think that those pipelines will end in Niger republic. The just added Europe to fool warry Nigerians.. They're constructing as we speak. From this project, there will be 3 gas powered power station at Abuja, Kaduna and Kano. Totalling 10,000 MW. Maybe another in Niger republic, who knows? But NONE in either Imo state or Anambra state where the gas will come from! This is the kind of scotched earth policies the Fulani imperialists under this evil regime are propagating all over the East and we still have igbos trying to "intellectualise" this nonsense.. 2 Likes |

DOTian:True talk. If you want to know how stupid they are. Go to twitter and see how those so called igbo Otelectuals are propagating themselves as Pro-Igbos by opening threads and Voice chats everywhere. The same time Imo State was burning, one otele opened a voice chat called Igbo Amaka, and then got mad when one igbo called them ọkụkọ. You won't see participating in that nonsense. Tomorrow, they will wonder why Eastern based Igbos sympathise with IPOB. Fa bụ nnọọ ọnọ n'uno mara ihe zụrụ na-ahịa. Anyway, we will all be when shit hits the fan. N.B: Those same Igbo oteles were all mute during Obigbo. The just pretend like it wasn't happening while their kins got killed and raped. Tomorrow ndị Algae soup will threaten them again and they will start crying 2 Likes |

DOTian: You are so spot on! Our people are either naive and don't know the tricks going on by this wicked anti-Igbo hegemony, or they know but don't want to do anything because of their stockholm-syndrome. Same daft dickheads would be the first to join Igbo-haters to abuse Mazi Kanu and IPOB! 2 Likes |

SirBlack999: Igbos are not Ijaws that have allowed the plundering of their land. Over the years, Ijaw land has been degraded by the activities of oil companies and their commonwealth piped to the north. We will never allow any pipe to run from the east and beyond benue. We will resist it. We will go into alliance with and Isreali company to do the drilling and pay commensurate royalty. 1 Like |
