BigSarah: You're correct, lady. I'm surprised the way people make it seem it just started this year. There was a time if you use a while handkerchief to clean your face in some areas of PH, na black stain you go see. Try mopping your tiled floor, same thing In all sha, something has to be done about it, and urgently |

redsun: You're just ignorant...what has soot generated by incomplete combustion of organic compound got to do with heavy metal and carcinogens which stem from prolonged exposure to asbestos..your deluded and warped knowledge of chemistry goes to show how bereft you are. And to think you described a land far better than whatever shithole you were hatched, godforsaken, beats my imagination. 2 Likes |

This story reminds me of the time theTranscriber maliciously opened a thread about Eskom being the world's worst emitter of sulphur dioxide and it hit frontpage - meanwhile back at the ranch it's pouring black rain in his country cc JaceBlaze, IronGalaxy 2 Likes |

Brimstone77: If you go school, you should know the long term symptoms of environmental pollution caused by gas flaring. That's it. Quite simple. Residents should do medical screening for cancer etc. |

Stop insisting, when you are wrong. Just apologize for the wrong choice of word, correct it and move on. It wont kill you. It is not normal! It may be 'expected' based on irresponsible oil exploration, but it is certainly NOT normal. Please upgrade your knowledge of English language Or speak your local dialect or 'broken' English. Goodyness: Bro Gas flaring is not the cause. complete combustion of gas doesn't leave soot. what gas does is to increase the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. The soot is arising from incomplete combustion of hydrocarbons and the chief culprit is the kpo fire or illegal refineries operating in the area. 2 Likes 2 Shares |
