Ports and nnpc are the only reasons why Nigeria is still one. The painful part of it is that this agency is the highest corrupt government agency after police. Meanwhile if you want to get rid of pimples, acne, sub burn, dark spots and wrinkles, visit my signature 5 Likes 2 Shares |

okeysoninv: What are you saying?... an increase from 600m to N3m is shortchanging the Government? Is it not the end user that pays the 600k that if approved, would be increased to N3m which will inturn escalate inflation on cars, machineries, products, transport and 98% of our household items because they are imported one way or the other either as raw material or finished product. 11 Likes 1 Share |

okeysoninv:God bless you sir! On the fx side, the importers have been overinvoicing while the exporters have been underinvoicing. By the time we fix that port system, you will be shocked to realize how much has been stolen from the system. These protesters are fronts for the same people that wrecked the system. The N600K old rate is the corruption rate! 25 Likes |

Esseite:let me explain it you from an agent," If a car was supposed to pay 3million duty... U bribe customs with 700,000 and u pay 1.5miliion duty. Even at that, patrol customs(FOU) extort money from u from 50,000 upwards on the road for the next few months or years. But with the e-invoice, u get the 3million invoice and pay the correct duty.. No more bribes and settlement at the ports or on the road.. To me as a clearing agent, I will be loosing over 80% of what I normally see as profit cos of these bribes.. But as a Nigerian, for the greater good, its the best thing that can happen to customs issues cos the fraud too much. NB.. This my explanation applies to car imports alone which is my area of specialisation.." Cc: Modecai 12 Likes 2 Shares |

okeysoninv: Would that not be a massive inflation on the price of cars, machineries and others in Nigeria which directly would affect transport, spareparts and others?... 15 Likes 1 Share |
