Good morning, gurus.
I’m hoping to get a good car soonest but really finding it difficult making a choice.
It’s a personal car that can occasionally hit the road for Uber. I personally do not like the Corolla. The Camry (2010) would have been a better option but the interior is somewhat not enticing as that of the Lexus ES. The Lexus ES 330 is older (2006), with an eye catching interior. I’m yet to even make up my mind on the engine type that should serve more.
Lexus ES 330?
Toyota Camry 2010?
V4 or V6?

Lexus ES is v6 engine no 4cylinder. They aren't good for uber especially areas with traffic congestion.

Camry 4cylinder would do except maybe other manufacturers like

Acura TSX 07 with 4 cylinder engine.
Nissan Sentra 2013 upwards.

if it was strictly personal use,wud advise you to go with the lexus because its refined and it has a better finishing than the camry.but since you will do uber once a while just get the camry i4.but the car no get finishing, its more ok on fuel than the lexus.

you're a confused person, actually.

You ended up mentioning 4 cars without pinpointing one that piques your interest.

Lol. For the sake of making an inquiry, I will go on and remain polite about it. The reason for this thread is for opinions, no matter how big or little.
You were quick to pinpoint I mentioned 4 cars but I actually mentioned 3, clearing stating that one out of the 3 isn’t an option for me. Getting to the bottom, it was just obvious l was tied between two cars.
You can actually read and overlook if you have no contribution, boss.

To nurey and arrghmed, thanks so much for your opinions.

If you stick around this section you'll come to learn that there are several posters here who contribute absolutely nothing of value to discourse, and whose primary aim is to troll and get a rise out of other people, often achieved by making the most noise. The person who quoted you and who you responded to, is near the top of that list.

Regarding your enquiry, uber would only be economically feasible with vehicles which have lower engine capacities, which tend to be 4 cylinder vehicles (i4, not V4). Which would be the Camry, based on your list. The 2010 Camry has a 2.5l engine, might also not be the most suitable Uber vehicle.

For personal use, I suppose your personal preferences would dictate your choice. V6s almost always offer better performance, the Lexus would certainly be a more refined vehicle than the Camry.

Thanks so much, Gravatar.
Honestly, I wouldn’t have minded being trolled so long the “official Dj” guy contributed. He just took his time *NOT* to help and it’s funny.

I think I would have to settle for an i4 2010 Toyota Camry Xle. That way, I’d get a nicer looking interior (hugely my reason for loving the Lexus), and still get a fairly fuel economical car that rates well for a mid sized sedan. Honestly, if the Lexus ES 330 had a V4 variant, it would have been my go to but alas, we can’t all get what we want.

you've actually eliminated the unwanted choices and now you're talking.
I'm not a fan of Toyotas as they tend to be overhyped and overpriced while offering only reliability and nothing else

Gravatar is a Toyota die-hard fan with his crappy 2003 corolla. He can advice you.

You are honestly a stupid fellow that thinks relatively lower than a bairn does. When has it become mandatory to espy and comment on all posts in the thread especially when you have nothing to offer?

For those that chose to see my problem, opinions ensued. For a brainless fool like you, stopping yourself from showing how folly has taken its toll on you became a problem.

Gravatar that you were trying to deface helped ten folds more than you did. He tried to tell me how birdbrained you are but I didn’t get it until now.

If you are tired of life and frustration is seemingly eating deep into you, take your leprous thumbs elsewhere.

The camry and corolla are both very solid vehicles.

Efficiency both will get the job done but the camry has a bigger cabin, more leg room and comfortable sitting also more boot space.

Luxury the camry beats the corolla as the LE and xle come with leather optional sat navigation and JBL premium audio the corolla was never fitted with leather but the 06-07 has an upscale audio system.
The camry also comes with 16inch alloy rim options the corolla is 15 inch steel rim from factory on all models

Economy the corolla has a 1.6 and 1.8L engine while the camry has a 2.5L I4, V6 and hybrid. The camry hybrid comes close to the fuel economy of the corolla but to be on a safer side for 1st timer better to over look the hybrid. The corolla wins in economy but the camry 4 cylinder isn't bad if you want to balance power with economy. As full load the corolla is slow in acceleration.

Maintenance both are OK but camry parts are expensive than corolla. The corolla also has simple engine and parts even the sport version. I have 2 corolla in the family 04 and 07 the 07 has auto lock on moving the gear lever to Dallas, factory installed keyless entry, fog light.

Security both are robber magnet though the 06-07 corolla and most camry come with standard factory alarm systems, they can't be stolen whole when parked on like earlier models, but snatching at gun point has been major user experienced.

Verdict I would push to buy 06-07 corolla staying away from the sport due to bad roads and those with open roof as our weather conditions causes damage to the seals allowing leaks into the cabin.

If you like the camry, leave the SE and XLE with side skirts cause of our roads, push for a LE with all the bells and whistle (luxury edition with factory leather seats) but note most of the people using camry with non chalant attitude end up changing transmission.

I swear, you are just too good. Even a toddler would be clarified at this point.

Rav 4 though majorly has no 3rd row seat.

The remaining I did recommend are honda pilot and volvo XC90 though they are SUV not CUV like the highlander.

If 04 to 07 is above your budget try 2001 to 2003 highlander though or just buy a lexus RX300 and have rest of mind
Thanks for this insight

Good day gurus in the house, I settled for Toyota Highlander 04-07 after some research. But it seems a good foreign used one is above my budget of 3.3m. My question is which alternative in it's category can I go for considering Highlander's famed reliability, easy to maintain, ruggedness and high resale value.
Add 400k and come get my toks rav4. It's an 06/07 model. Low mileage and accident free.

Get yourself a 2011-2013 Corolla.
Or a 2007/2008 Lexus es350.

You may also consider the 2010/2011 Camry.

These are excellent options that won't break the bank in terms of maintenance.

Hi guys!

Which would you recommend between a 2009/10 Toyota Venza and a 2008/09 lexus rx 350. Looking at the cost of maintenance(running cost) reliability, overall driving experience and basically other important factors I may have failed to mention.

P.S: Asking as a first time car owner
