The Airline's account of what transpired differs from what was reported in the complaint filed on behalf of the affected passengers.

Time and more counter accusations would indicate where the truth lies and who was the victim here - the 10 passengers or Air Peace.

I noticed no mention was made about the delay that resulted in the late arrival in Nigeria.

Also no mention was made about paying a No-Show fee on the missed flight for the eventual flight booked as was claimed in the complaint.

This is where the haughty Fulani has brought this convulsing amalgam; to her wretched knees. A plane already taxing has to be stopped because an overdressed fulani god of thunder needs to go to Kano. This happens in no other place but in Nigeria.. And Mr "One Nigeria" Onyeama has to write a Bible just to explain and appease the bruised ego of an inebriated emir! This country is such a strange contraption..

Nobody owes him explanation beyond cooperate policy.

1) Did the Emir Travel on air peace from Gambia to Lagos
2)was his flight from Gambia to Lagos delayed by 70mins
3) if it was delayed why then could the flight from Lagos to Kano not be delayed to meet up with the passenger's that the very same Air peace delayed from Gambia
4) Did the Chairman say that his flight can not be delayed for anybody

I don't know, but the COO is doing more harm than good with this situation. In court of public opinion, no one will condone delaying a flight unnecessarily for the Emir - so you have the upper hand already. But the tone of this statement is desperately trying to exonerate himself, there by intentionally or unintentionally putting the emirate in a bad light (you could see that by his desperation to point out what and what not the emir could do).

This statement might go down well with purveyors of sensationalism but definitely not for an airline positioning itself as a prime national carrier.

What is the use of all these traditional rulers, order than marrying six hundred wives and collecting commission on land sales?

That a flight was delayed does not mean that all other flights (connected ir unconnected) should be delayed. This is common sense and norm in any sensible nation

Flights should not be delayed to suit anybody. Those same persons will folow the queue and not even think of demanding such if he was in a western nation. A public official demanding such might even cost him his job.

If you want a sensible nation, there is a price to pay

I think there were no communication between the Air peace flight from Gambia and Lagos office as per Deley.

This would have given them better idea to delay boarding for like 45 which could have solved this problems.

If you have a relative who worked for Nigeria Airways,you'd get a firsthand info of how it became moribound.

The culture of "who is who" using their powers on the workers,useless threats and demands to delay a flight for a VIP ;flying Family members and girlfriends at the expense of the federal govt.

.It is what they are expecting from Airpeace,a private airline,to do for The Emir,a figurehead ,whose power begins and stops at the core North.

I have no single regard for this Emir, he is just so Power Drunk. The only Emir of Kano I know and recognize is Muhammed Sanusi II.

They should ask for compensation on their delayed flight not demand that the next flight be delayed... that is common sense.... They can ask to be put in a hotel if it meets the rules.... Some busy airports have planes/trains scheduled to take off every minute which have been arranged months in advance.

If the Kano flight already had a scheduled return with little time interval, that means a number of flights will be delayed to suit one man. Like I said, the Emirate council will not even whisper that in and developed nation

Imagine if every 'big man' starts requesting same of airlines- you get the broken system we have.

First is the live departure of Dubai International Airport...
Second is the live departure board of a London train station...
Note, these are just departures and not arrivals which are equally busy.

Look at the timing and see that one interruption could cause numerous delays down the line. Now imagine how such a system can work if they start cancelling flights anytime someone coughs
