Be expecting stay of execution any moment from now.
Well unless so.

But I know that INEC follows court judgement immediately it gets them.

If Umahi doesn't act fast to procure it, he might be out of office in a week's time.

Its party.
U won't see individuals faces on the ballot, rather party logos

I voted individuals across parties. I'm not a politician so I don't have Party but I have individuals that I can vouch for.

But we know this judgement can never be executed. We're in the third month of 2022 already, and by the time the appeal court might be preparing its judgement, we could be talking about a handover to another elected governor in 2023.

The judgement is what it is- a mere pronouncement. It's only utility I see is it making it alot more difficult for incumbents to change parties at will.

You know inyang is a retiring judge....he is aware of another judgement by an ebonyi state court in favour of umahi......he gave the judgement to chop the money given to him by pdp in peace......as for the case, it can't hold water

The case is going to end up at the supreme court.

Hopefully, the judgement stands so that it serves as a deterrent to political prostitutes in power...

If you've voted before, you'd notice that it isn't individual's name that's on the ballot but the party's name.

In Nigeria, it is the party not individual.
Does it even make any sense. This means we are ruled by a party and not a person.

You don't sound like you want to be enlightened, because you have already concluded that the judgement is null and void.

Anyways, in Nigeria we vote for the party sponsoring a candidate and the victory of a candidate is that of the party sponsoring him. That was why people like Rotimi Amaechi became governor without contesting in the election.
Sorry for sounding that way.... emotions clouded my reasoning

The individual did not campaign only in his name, he campaigned on the platform of a party and benefited from it's goodwill therefore it is unfair for him to take the mandate elsewhere!

Even though most people votes based on the credibility of an individual, you're voting for the party because it is the party presenting the individual.

It's imperative to understand that we only vote party and not candidates that's why candidates name don't reflect on ballot papers rather it's the party that reflects on the ballots

In all countries of the world , people vote for individual candidate, the only exception is Nigeria, where people vote for party. It is really crazy and outrageous. That is why ipob refer to Nigeria as a Zoo .

According to a previous Supreme court judgement, we vote for the party. Party own the votes, not the candidates.

See, ibo will keep fighting itself. It is like I hate ibos. No, I dont. I love ibos. As a good friend, I must tell ibos the truth. Now, this guy has been damaged emotionally. He cannot concentrate again with his plan to sit in Aso Rock. He will start fighting this. Can he even fight after he is tossed out?

That is the small you know but you have already said the judge (judgement you meant) is null and void when you don't know anything.

According to a previous supreme Court judgement, votes cast in an election belong to the party. That is, people vote for party.

Greediness is bad. When you use a platform climb up and you decide to change the platform, that's not a good thing. Thats betrayal. This will stop the nonsense. You fix the trouble in your camp and not just use the platform and dump it at any opportunity you have. Lol.

If you are a little bit conversant with the law, you will understand that the ruling is about PRECEDENCE... That is, the ruling provide a legal ground to avoid such defection happening in the near future. It's a Premise derived to a Conclusion...

Even the judgement doesn't have any legal basis and that's an indication that it will be crushed at the Appeal.

There's no section of either the Nigeria constitution or Electoral Act to back the judgement. So it's just an unfounded pronouncement that cannot stand the test of time.
Have you heard of Section 68 (1)g before?

Presidential aspirant in apc was the fighting Governor Umahi not pdp.
Listen to supporters of one apc Presidential hopeful supporting the judgement.
Politics truly truth is a dirty game.
