I wish I can reach out to President Biden not to be wasting America hard earned money on a terrorists nation like Nigeria. They will just freely gift it to Boko Haram and besides those people don't like America and Israel.

Nigeria security situation has become increasingly worrisome due majorly to the complicity of the locals.

I'm a firm believer of the view that affirmed that Security is a collective responsibility of all.

So long as people who are supposed to watch out their locality are in collusion with the aggressors there's little the security agents can do even with sophisticated ammunitions.

Did the US not know that Islamists who adopted Sharia criminal laws are also sympathetic to the terrorists.

What are you even saying, can’t you see the $1bn price tag

You're the one who doesn't know what you're saying here cos you didn't read.

After purchasing the arms, the US government added $25 million dollars as a grant and assistance to Nigeria FOR FREE to combat insecurities. China or Russia would never do this.

Read for yourself below

"The package includes $25m for human rights-related training, according to YahooNews"

"According to the announcement, $25m in the package will be dedicated to “institutional and technical assistance” to Nigeria’s military to continue its Air-to-Ground Integration program, which concerns targeting processes that are consistent with international humanitarian law and the laws of armed conflict"

Why won't this foooools (FG) go for attack drones, that move swiftly and quietly. They want to buy helicopters, so that the noise can announce their presence to the bandits so they can take cover.

Don't mind them. We have a sleeping and compromising Senate who should be checkmating the executives and asking questions.

I strongly believe they are first using it to make money. Second, they are piling up arms for the Jihad they have been planning for decades. And they want to carry it out before the end of this tenure. But God will frustrate their plans. I am speaking by revelation. We just need to pray more for God to deliver us from their evil schemes.

Acquiring of fighter jets is not going to have significant impact in curtailing insecurity without equipping the ground troops with modern equipment and weapons as well.

12 outdated 1967 choppers with the most advanced features removed, another tucano deal

God help Nigeria.
We are dealing with deep evil forces home&abroad.
No sensible Leader who knows what his Nation's total sovereignty means will invite AFRICOM to his domain.

US military presence has never& will never guarantee peace& security anywhere instead it is always a tool to instigate instability.
Even with US&French military bases in Chad, Niger, Cameroon& Ghana... insecurity still rages in Saharan Africa because these guys are after their own interests.
Nigeria must NEVER be added to that list.

This has always been the game plan of the US&West(UK,France, Germany & Canada) in conjunction with greedy Nigerian Elites& politicians who are more of Western agents(assests) than patriotic citizens...

They deliberately created security & economic crises in our nation by weakening the security forces(military especially) and economy using their Nigerian collaborators, agents and unpatriotic elements.

To create security crises& instability in Nigeria&west Africa in extension, then ensure a puppet leadership (Buhar &others too likely follow) are installed on seat across sensitive arms of governance and control the country through(The Cabals) by pulling the strings of the goverment from behind and then seat sit to finally enjoy enough control of the nation's wealth& resources without obstacles.

To ensure the continuity of their agendas by planting AFRICOM(US&allies) military headquarters(as a defacto insurance arm) in Nigeria under the pretence of providing security for us but instead to ensure their smooth manipulations covertly.

With all the insecurity and economic challenges going on presently & in recent past, these western nations have kept quiet since the change of government because it has been their game plan all along and now at the 11th hour they begin to approve barrage of military equipments for sale & economic aids as Greek gifts.
They have never genuinely come through for us whenever we needed them urgently...instead any/all of their assistant has always come with conditions& meddling in our internal affairs and they cease any&every opportunity to do that...sometime they can't tolerate themselves.

Buhari & co travellers are working to exchange the sovereignty of Nigeria for political/economic gains&power.

This is about the control of Nigeria & her resources and fight to ensure Nigeria does not have alternatives or look else where ( Eastward towards China or Northward towards Russia)...it is about keeping Nigeria under control.

Nigerians, shine your eyes very very well...it is a crucial election season again and these manipulators are at it again with their Greek gifts (defense/military arms under human rights pretences&democracy) & visitations to our political figures&elites and vice-visa
Nothing is free in free town.
These guys are working to handpick our leaders who will be loyal to them.
It is not by coincidence that Buhar& others spent/spends alot of their time always away to London, Paris& Washington DC under different pretenses.

We must resist these people by not playing into their hands because they cannot achieve their aims without manipulations& our direct or indirect collaborations... We must be more patriotic now than ever(Tribe & religion aside), let us watch the polity closely, ask questions, demand answers and refused vehemently any shady move because the future of Nigeria & our kids are at stake.

With God as our help they will fail totally and Nigeria will never be under evil manipulative controls but a free sovereign Nation of greatness.

During the closing months of the United States' involvement in the Vietnam War, the Marine Corps embarked the AH-1J SeaCobra assigned to HMA-369 (now HMLA-369) aboard Denver, Cleveland, and later Dubuque, for sea-based interdiction of the Ho Chi Minh Trail in North Vietnam in the vicinity of Hon La (Tiger) Island. These were termed Marine Hunter-Killer (MARHUK) Operations and lasted from June to December 1972.

Does Nigeria’s Air Force have pilots skilled enough to operate the aircraft that you want them to have? Can the government afford the fuel and upkeep?

The attack helis Nigeria just bought from the US (AH-1Z) are the most modern/advanced American helis and the best the US has to offer. But it came with conditions that the US government would’ve access to Nigeria whenever they want. America just doesn’t sell these things without certain conditions.

I honestly don’t know why Nigerian leaders are so stupid. They basically bought helis they don’t need at a ransom with tough strings attached to it. It’s basically like living in a rented house while buying a Rolls Royce with your freedom attached to it.

Based on the state of the Nigerian armed forces - they’re better off with Russian Mi-28 or the South African helis. And those would’ve cost them just a fraction of this crap (not more than $80-100m) and would still do the same job whilst maintaining Nigeria’s freedom.

Who’re they fighting with these helis? Helis aren’t even that reliable and even the most advanced one can get shot down by a RPG.

Just utter useless.

Yes. Who will operate them but also Who will pay for the extensive training it takes to fly them along with the training it takes to service the aircraft? The upkeep alone for each plane is nearly a million dollars every year. These guys speak without much thinking.

Can you imagine, begging for Americn base on African soil, for what purpose.

For what purpose? Countries that host US military bases receive about a billion USD every 3-5 years. Each base also employs a few hundred civilians in the host country at above local wages.
Can any African countries benefit from several million dollars a year plus jobs for a few hundred of their citizens or are the countries too prosperous to see that as a gain?
Re: Insecurity: US Approves $1bn Attack Helicopters, Others For Nigeria by AldrichAmes: 2:36pm On Apr 15, 2022
The press statement that came with the sale is attached below (read the last sentence).

Nigeria is a stupid country. This purchase is just pure lunacy. There are cheaper alternatives out there that cost a fraction and can do the same job.

The rest of the money should have been spent on artillery and light tanks. Artillery is the king of war and if they’re serious about destroying BH - all they need is artillery (which they don’t have) and it won’t take them 3months to wipe out Boko Haram.

But they opted for shiny crap that cost an arm and external intrusion. And RPGs would blow all of them out of the sky soon.

why isn't nigeria getting the kind of military aid Ukraine is getting, make no mistake about it, nigeria is being invaded by terrorists from foreign states, we need switchblade drones, humvee claymore armored vehicles, Advanced AR17 assault rifles and ammunition, Stealth drones with laser guided missile and munitions, we need military helmet, body armor etc, and we need satellite imagery from maxar technologies to improve intelligence gathering about terrorist movements

Because to leaders of nations that have the resources to help, it doesn’t look like Nigeria’s leaders are very serious about the country’s security because they keep showing that their priorities are elsewhere. When Nigeria gets serious about tackling insecurity, others will take them seriously.
