Kautukari, a community in Chibok LGA of Borno state, is currently under attack by suspected fighters of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP).

A resident told TheCable the insurgents invaded the community around 6pm on Tuesday and started shooting randomly.

The suspected ISWAP fighters are reportedly setting houses ablaze while locals are fleeing into the bush for safety.

Soldiers stationed at a military forward operation base (FOB) in Kada, just 2km away from Kautukari, were said to have been dislodged.

TheCable, however, understands that troops have been mobilised from the army’s 117 battalions in Chibok town to the area.

Kautukari is 17km away from Chibok town.

I don't understand why soldiers will be running away from a ragtag terrorists.If you see some this Islamic terrorists physically,they are like those aboki boys that sells sugarcane and push wheelbarrows and buys condemn irons.

This terrorists have access to unlimited Sophisticated weapons and funds and of course plenty 'willing workforce' down to the grassroots.

Do you know the problem in Nigeria? In the North the real terrorists burn the houses and kill soldiers and the citizens but in the East the unknown gunmen attack soldiers and go free but the houses are burnt in retaliation and the innocent youths around the area are killed by those that should protect them.

That may be the reason it is difficult to get information from the grassroots. We all know that the bad guys disappears from the area after any attack and the security will not be able to get them without information.

One day, God in heaven will restore peace and love in Nigeria and all these killings in all parts of Nigeria will be history. God will provide us leaders that will reconcile everybody. But as it is now, am ready to fight to defend Igboland. So, we all really need to get ourselves prepared if this injustice against Igbo continues. Nobody that goes to war with

That tells how wack the training your army receive is.
Don't tell me they don't have ammunitions,they have tanks,planes etc yet Boko Haram with only ak 47s and rpg managed to sack barracks and amass that same weapon they claim not to have..

The only tenable excuse they have in failure is that the army is compromised.
