But is you are scared which is understandable, go with a lawyer or commission a lawyer to write a letter demanding to know why you cannot acess your account.
Writing a letter should not cost you more than a couple of thousands.

I did and nothing happened after several days.

After some weeks, I received a call from the bank asking if I knew the sender’s location and base. I said no.

To cut the story short... I gave up on following up.

Just go to the bank. I dont think it's a big deal. If they wanted to come for u getting ur address shouldn't be an issue

Those accounts were restricted using your BVN. That's the handiwork of NFIU. That happens if there were reports of suspicious transactions. I was going to say the restriction may include arrest-at-sight flag (since your account officer is evasive) but since you're confident you have not done anything illegit. Go ahead and visit the branch to learn more on what could have gone wrong.

Was there anytime you did an FX transaction like PTA without genuinely traveling (PTA precisely)?

Are they current (cooperate) or savings account?

If you are not a fraudster,go to the bank.
It is a simple matter.

It's not crypto related. Nobody can blacklist your BVN because of crypto. Read this, and read it well trading in cryptocurrency is not a crime. What possibly happened is that he may have received money from an illegitimate source.

You cant sue if there's a court order to restrict your account. They are duty bound to comply with the order, unless and except you have a counter order.

Op hope u haven't done p2p on binance from someone who credited u with a third party account. All those ppl advertising juicy usdt rate on binance and tell u u will be credited from one of their other acc in other names are fraudsters. I always ensure I use express where binance matches me with mostly corporate acc. Also ur bvn can't b blacklisted just cos u did a crypto transaction. Worst is they LL close ur acc ND refund ur balance. Ur issue might be fraud related. U might have received a fraudulent inflow. Try check ur transaction history.

Don't just give up. BVN is linked to your NIN. NIN is linked to immigration data base, meaning you may even have issue with getting international passport later.
Ask your brother to open up to you. Refund their money and let them clear your BVN.
You don't know how this will affect you in the future.

Wow..this is an eye opener. I also trade for a prop firm and all my withdrawal has been through binance. However I use the express option on binance. I think it's time I start using deel and withdraw to dormiciliary acc. This our country is becoming so unsafe

This is where you got it all wrong. It is not oy fraud that would warrant your account getting closed. Even if you owe someone money and probably you didn't deliver the job paid for or maybe you issued a cheque that bounced etc. My own situation happened just 1 month ago.

You should only speak if you have been a victim of the process. It was then I discovered that banks close the account without a court order. Mind you my account was closed for 6 months and there was no court order. Law or not those agencies especially EFCC threaten banks.
