Actually, that is not true.

1.Most slaves were captured by Africans and Arabs, who then transported them to the coast, where they were sold to Europeans (western coast) or Arabs (eastern coast). Of course most were sold to other Africans .

2.Source of slaves...inter-ethnic wars. (No, we never all lived in peace before whitey came..we fought each other very well). Also raids into other people's territory. And kidnapping (two former slaves who ended up in England, their accounts read like they were kidnapped...and that was 18th century mind. By the way, they both got free).

3.Here is how slaves were caught. A young boy was caught in what is now either Chad or Cameroon...and taken to what is now Turkey and used as a slave. While there, he was spotted by an ambassador from what is now Russia, and eventually was freed and taken to Russia, where he grew up and became a great Russia general and one of the ancestors of their greatest writers . Abram Petrovich Gannibal. Note...he was not caputred by whites. It was black and Arab people that transported him to Ottoman Turkey after kidnapping him.

4.Missionary activity in what is now Nigeria started with a catholic mission to what is now Edo and Delta state in the 16th century...and then took off in the 19th century with missionaries from England, protestant, followed by Roman catholic missionaries. By then, the UK was no longer in the slave trade...stopped it , the US followed suit...and a host of other countries. Brazil stopped in 1889.

5.Most missionaries helped free slaves. Even tried to help them. Sometimes worked, sometimes did not. Slave traders were not interested in converting the slaves they caught. (When they got to the Americas they were forcefully converted to christianity, which is a sad stain on the religion, even now, but that was not the main reason why they were taken there.)

Missionaries were not involved in the slave trade at all. Rather slaves were caught due to wars and tribal warfare and sold to middle men...Africans and Arabs, and transported to the coast to be sold to Europeans, and/or Arabs, or often times sold to other Africans.

Started violence for what wen other candidates are there. I'm a xtian but I don't see anything in religion whether Muslim Muslim or xtian xtian but I'm after good governance. If Tinubu choose xtian from d north but Atiku may win election. Everything is calculation. Peter obi own calculation is let me choose younger VP so far I have support of d youth. Atiku is a powerful politician that u can't underrate d voting strength in d North but Tinubu must choose powerful northern candidate to counter Atiku. Atiku as well is not getting it easy, the voting strength he got from south in 2019 has reduced gradually and that's y he choose SS VP and ignore SE cos he knew SE will vote Obi and he knew SW is for Tinubu. Everything is all abt calculation and which ever work for each of d candidates, I will say best of luck

Tinubu is not a religion bigot or fanatic and he has done more to churches than all d candidates contesting for president and all his children are xtian but say another things.

Ibrahim was coasting home as the Presidential Candidate of the party at the time Azikiwe came in during October 1978.
